I stayed at the Cape Town city Hilton for 6 nights. The room was spacious with a great view of Table mountain. The king size bed was luxurious. There was ample space for a working desk and an arm chair. The Hilton is located in the centre of the city so is a short taxi ride to V and A wharf area which is a lively area for shopping and restaurants. There is a gym which is open 24 hours and a pool. Due to the very severe drought the pool cannot be filled so is only a wading pool at present. There is a restaurant which has mixed cuisine with an Indian flavour. The most impressive part of the hotel is the extremely friendly staff who are always smiling and eager to engage in conversations or to enquiry after your welfare. I would highly recommend. Collapse

The service was excellent! Loved the people. They were very helpful and went the extra mile. The bed was not as comfortable. I felt something was irritating me....maybe biting me. The location was right in the heart of the city. Good location if you are aware of your surroundings. During the day it is fine, but many schemes are going on at night. People try to snatch your bags, etc. Be aware! The hotel and food was very good and the prices would make me want to come back. The service alone will make me return to this hotel. Thank you! We researched many hotels in Cape Town before choosing to stay at the Hilton. What a great decision. The hotel was perfect for us. We booked an executive room and chose our room (716) from the App and were not disappointed. With clear views over Bo Kaap to Table Mountain the room was both spacious and comfortable. The housekeepers kept the room lovely and clean throughout our stay. We deliberately booked the executive room on a room only basis so that we could have complimentary breakfast in the executive lounge. It was a real surprise to be told that we could use the main restaraunt for breakfast which had a more extensive choice. Having said that, the choice "upstairs" was more than adequate. There is also afternoon tea in the lounge, plus an open bar and canapes in the evening at set times. The hotel is really central, only a short walk from the main attractions incuding the Museums, Castle and Companys Garden, where it is lovely to sit for a coffee or late lunch in the cafe there. The hotel is also close to the main stop for the hop on/off bus. Well worth doing over two days. Our first day was mainly spent at the Botanic Gardens which are amazing, also a stop off at Camps Bay. The second day mainly spent at Constantia, at Groot Constantia Estate for wine tasting and a cellar tour. Another unmissable day out. The hotel have a Hertz office in the car park. The guys down there are great and provide the hourly shuttle to the V and A Waterfront. A great service which we used many times. Thank you Michael, Andila, and Kieron. We also used Hertz for airport transfers which at 350 rand (cash) is great value for money. We also booked a day tour with Hertz. Visiting the Cape of Good Hope, the penguins at Boulders Beach, Fish Hoek Beach and returning via Chapmans Peak. A great day out and well worth a little haggling with the team at Hertz. If you want to visit Robben Island you have to book in advance. Another highlight for us. The pool area is a quiet place to relax. Unfortunately due to the water shortage the small pool is not really usable. The gym is on the small side but usually empty so no problem. All in all we had a great time and need to mention the amazing staff at the hotel .Special thanks to Elfrida, Ulwethu, Andiswa, Yonela, Nonzukiso and Colvin. Not to mention the biggest thanks of all to Mary Ann and Lilian who went to great lengths to ensure our time spent in the Executive lounge was as comfortable as could be. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hilton Hotel and in Cape Town. Collapse

I spent my bday weekend at this Hilton and it was a really amazing experience ( including an unexpected bday treat from the management). The hotel is conveniently located near all of the major attractions. We had a great view of table mountain from our 6th floor room and it was not noisy at all even if the room was facing the Main Street. We also had access to the executive lounge which was the perfect area for either breakfast or a light snack during the day. The staff ( especially the very friendly team working in the lounge ) was absolutely superb. Cape Town was experiencing water shortage and the hotel did its best in order to minimize any inconvenience. Unless you want to stay closer to the very touristy area of V & A waterfront this Hilton is definitely an option NOT to be dismissed. We would definitely come back. Collapse
