Me and my boyfriend stayed here on Fri 11 May as part of a two day break with Thorpe Park. We were beyond impressed! We arrived around 4pm to check in as we were both tired from our long day at Thorpe Park. We were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who checked us in. Check in unfortunately took a little longer than expected as they misplaced our booking as it wasn't through them directly but through Thorpe Park. The lady couldn't apologise enough and even gave us a complimentary drinks token each for the bar as a way of saying sorry, that was a very nice touch. Our room was perfect and had everything we needed, we especially loved the black out blind which blocked out every bit of sunlight, perfect for our little nap before the evening. When I had woke I had received a message from the team at the Hilton asking if everything was ok with the room and if there was anything else they could do for us. I told them it was my boyfriends birthday and they said they would send a cake to us. We went out for the evening and when we returned the cake was waiting in the room, my boyfriend was thrilled with the effort that had been made. We went down stairs to the bar and got our complimentary drinks and then headed back to the room to watch films on the HUGE tv! We had such a good nights sleep and when we woke we were looking forward to the breakfast we had read so much about on other reviews. Breakfast was AMAZING! There was everything you could possible want, we especially loved the waffle machine. After breakfast we decided to go and check out the spa, the staff were lovely and told us where everything was. The pool area was lovely and well kept and wasn't too busy which was nice. Overall our experience was 10/10 in this hotel and we would defiantly return if we were ever visiting the area again. Thanks to all the staff that went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. Collapse

We booked this hotel in advance for our outward and return journeys at i have to say a very good rate, however, although the hotel was very busy on both visits the staff at reception were pleasant and helpful, the room on the first visit had a 4'6" bed for two, in all honesty I am unable to remember the last time I had a bed than size for two in a hotel........the room was fine and otherwise acceptable clean and tidy, but the bed, as a problem leading to a very restless night. On our return we asked if we were going to have the same bed size, which we were told we were. We then after some discussion paid to get a better size bed, which resulted in realistically a suite, and a 6' bed. An excellent night sleep for both of us. I would happily recommend this hotel for location and facilities but advise caution about bed sizes if that's a concern. Collapse

My husband is a Hilton Honors member and decided on a one night stay here as we were visiting friends nearby. We arrived and went straight to the Honors desk, beautifully set up to normally greet members. No one was actually in Reception as we waited and then a gentleman appeared and stood at the other end of reception and looked at us! He wouldn’t walked across to the Honors desk, we had to walk across to him to check in. Not a good start. We were directed to the lift to find our room but walked up and down so many corridors and our room number was nowhere to be seen. Back to the gent in Reception and we find out that the room isn’t accessible by lift, so why guide us to the lift? Bizarre. Bedroom was a Deluxe Double but actually it was very basic, no towelling robes, no slippers, bed sheets that were fraying and the inner duvet therefore on show. Breakfast was busy as the hotel was full to capacity. We had ask for coffee/tea and also for mugs as the tables weren’t set up properly. All in all, a very disappointing stay and we will never be back. Collapse

We stayed here whilst visiting Legoland. It was a short drive from so was very convenient. We had a family room which had a huge bed and was a good size room. It was very clean and comfortable. My only criticism is that there was a large stain on the carpet at the side of the bed, goodness knows what it was I tried not to dwell on it. I just put a towel over it so I didn’t have to look at it or walk on it with bare feet. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and great waffle maker which the kids enjoyed. It does get busy so eat early. The staff were very friendly and gave the kids activity pack and ice lolly which they were really pleased about. All in all a great value place to stay. Collapse
