I don't like giving poor reviews and I was going to award 3 stars but that's average and I truly thought it was below average. On the plus side, check-in was friendly with an apology for the wait, the room was a nice size, sheets, bath, sink and toilet appeared clean. However, 2 long black hairs on the bathroom floor and another on the ledge with a further 2 body hairs (shudder) on the floor. All walls and the curtain were grubby although attached photo doesn't reflect the true grossness. Glasses in bathroom were both dirty with toothpaste in them. Arrived at restaurant at opening time and had to wait as a Bollywood filming had been going on, but that was ok. Ordered meal and fire alarm went off (the fire alarm went off a further 2 times the following night after 11.00 pm) 20 mins later the waiter apologised for the delay caused by the alarm. A further 30 mins later we were told the kitchen was closed and were offered the buffet for £18 - a choice of lasagne or a veggie option. Thank goodness for the Farm Pizza just a short walk away. Breakfast was abysmal. No choice of eggs, just scrambled. Only plain yoghurt. No fresh fruit. No herbal teas just big urns of tea and coffee. Didn't have breakfast on the second day, just went home. Disappointing. Collapse

Stayed as part of a travel package. Good points - staff, all very friendly and helpful. Large car park. Bedroom comfortable, light and airy. Negatives windows are not soundproof party going on one floor below our bedroom, outdoor patio in between rooms. Their talking is not even muted. Food poor, tasteless and dry. Hardworking barman but only him even though the hotel was fully booked, therefore service slow. Shower poor, inadequate water flow and temperature changed constantly from hot to cold. Breakfast was adequate if you don’t mind tinned peaches as your healthy fruit option and sausages that taste of very little. Only one machine to toast bread therefore very large queue. Could be a very nice hotel if these things were sorted out. Collapse

I booked this hotel for the second year running because it was close to Hampton Court for the flower show. Plus because I enjoyed an exceptional stay last year I wanted to repeat the experience. I am glad to say the hotel is still five star and excellent for an overnight stay. On arrival we were surprised that we had been given a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was again delicious with a cooked option and a continental option. Reception staff on arrival were very courteous and efficient. All in all an excellent hotel within easy reach of London, Heathrow airport and Hampton Court palace. Collapse
Not a great experience.

Firstly I hope the manager reads this a takes note. Booked into the Heston Hyde to come see a concert at twickenham on the 20th June. Arrived and it looked great... and the reviews are good so what went wrong. 1- checked in. Received room card. Went upstairs to our room to find our door wide open and a man on one of our beds. small argument about who’s room it was as we both had keys for the room... back down to reception “ sorry. Try this room”. Back up to our room. Drop off our luggage and back out the door for the concert. 2- woke up the next morning and was surprised to see the level of cleanliness in the room was far below par of what you’d expect! Visible thick dust on almost all contact surfaces, long black hairs stuck into the bath sealant? Random stains on the walls? Dirty used Q tip on the floor by the beds. Let’s put it this way if we hadn’t had a few beers at the concert and had taken a proper look in the daylight we wouldn’t be staying there. 3- headed down for breakfast.. declined to even use the shower ( that bad ). Quite a long queue for the “buffet style” full English with one poor chef rushed off his feet individually cooking eggs for each guest which meant the queue couldn’t move till someone got their egg. Had to sift my way through plates untill I could find one that didn’t have smear marks, dried food, or was wet? £10.00... should’ve gone for a spoons breakfast but had already pre paid so made the most of it. I’m not one for complaining, I genuinely don’t do it ( check my other reviews on various places ). I’ve worked in hospitality previously for 9 years and can tell you this place has great potential. Just needs its cleanliness bumping up a bit! Oh and I almost forgot -4. I have no idea where the taxi came from that the reception ordered us but I was surprised he held a license! The 20 min journey to the station was absolutely terrifying... was it even a registered taxi! I’ve got a small collection of photos from the areas mentioned if a manager would like to view them.
