The hotel is lovely outside and in. Very welcoming and room looked great. On first look the room was very clean and well decorated. The TV was very small but not major issue. Blackout blinds where amazing and you could not hear the m4 at all. The shower was great too apart from the soaps on the wall. Had to press the button quite hard and unbeknown to me if you push up the dispenser falls out and smashed in the shower sending bits of plastic everywhere....so that's where the likes end. The bed was extremely hard which is one thing, however the worst thing was when you had the fan on. The windows do not open and you can only reduce the heat to 18 which is still too warm for me. But I can live with that when the fan was on it made the bed seriously vibrate/shake for a few seconds and continues to do this every 10/15 mins so your dropping to sleep and then get woke up. I also went to the reception at 5am and asked for a blanket. He said they had no blankets but had plenty of duvets. We had a sofa which was more comfortable then the bed so he said no one was available till 7am but he would get one up as soon as housekeeping turned up he would have one sent straight away. He didn't which was very disappointing. Breakfast a great selection and even had a waffle machine! Hot breakfast not much choice but tasted fine. So check out is at 12 which is great for a chain hotel so seeing as I had no sleep me and my partner went up to our room till check out. At 11.35 we had three phone calls on the in room phone. No one spoke and then put the phone down. It was a clear please leave the room call however why would you call and not ask if everything was ok and that could we please vacate the room. So all in all it wasn't the greatest experience. If you suffer with any health problems that effect joints or muscles like I do I would not recommend this hotel I haven't hurt so badly in a long time. Collapse
Best Hampton Inn

Though my room was literally 150 feet from the busy M4 freeway, I could not hear a peep in the room. Sound insulation is fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Best value Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at.

Stayed at the Hampton while on business in the area. The hotel could not be faulted,For it is in a great location, right on the M4.It has plenty car parking and the hotel is everything you would expect from a Hilton owned establishment.

Stayed at this hotel for the Bank Holiday weekend and the service was the worst I have ever received at a hotel. You arrive at the reception and the manager (Victoria) doesn't even have the courtesy to greet you properly let alone smile or ask you how you are. Yet funnily enough they want you to return? The air con/temperature in our room was not working for two days even though the weather was baking outside so all we were getting was warm heat and when you can't open the windows you can only imagine how stuffy it was in the room! We had to constantly tell staff about this problem and we were assured that after the first evening it would not happen again only for the same incident to be repeated. Only after I caused an uproar the next morning and demanded my funds back was an apology offered. Its shocking to say the least that this is the behaviour of the manager 'Victoria' who was arrogantly stating that the temperature was fixed, not even caring to apologise for what we went through the previous night. After this response from the manager no one even came to check if everything was in order and the only reason I got an apology was because I advised I was not leaving until I got one after we were arrogantly advised it was fixed. Staying in a hotel when you cant sleep for the whole stay pretty much sums up the whole situation. To make it worst the hotel staff messed up our refund and then took out extra funds as they refunded too much. Not that they told us this of course and so we had to return to the hotel after leaving, to clarify the matter as we had no idea why the funds were taken and when we rang up we were advised that nothing can be done. Er no its called informing customers of what your doing again basic skills! Imagine I didn't have the funds in my account or there was another problem? Worst experience ever, will not be staying here again. Collapse
