I stayed here with my friend from Germany. Actually this was my second time staying there. It is located literally right next to Station Bijlmar ArenA, so you can easily access the Amsterdam Central Station with the metro 54. It takes about 18 minutes. To Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, there is a direct train twice an hour. That takes you 13 minutes. Super location and no hassles. Rooms are spacious and clean; unlike other hotels in Amsterdam, the shower is big enough for two to take at same time. They have dispensers for shower gel, shampoo and conditioner build in on the shower cabinet which I find it very good that they show that they are environmentally conscious. Breakfast is pretty busy there. They are open from 6:30 to 10:30 on weekdays and 7:00 - 11:00 on weekends. My favorite was waffles, and you can make it yourself. Only negative is that they had one machine in operation, so I had to wait to make it; further, one coffee machine was also broken so there was a long queue. Overall experience of breakfast is good since they have variety of choices from boiled eggs, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, baked beans, small pancakes (poffertjes, Dutch mini pancakes,) sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, 4 kinds of cereals and so on. I recommend that you go there earlier in the morning to avoid the crowed. I specially want to thank two employees there: one is a Dutch young girl who has worked at breakfast (Blond hair and blue eyes) on the 12th. My friend forgot his jacket, so she left it for us at front office. Sorry that I did not ask her name... Second, very pleasant agent at front office Sander. He took time at my check out and asked me how my stay there was. Nice smile! Keep it up! Thanks for the nice stay. I will definitely stay there again! Collapse
Would stay here again!

Make sure the water channel in your room can work very well after you came into the room. The location is nearby station and also not far away from central Amsterdam. It only takes around 20 minutes. The staffs are very nice and helpful.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of August. We chose the hotel as it was cheaper than the city centre hotels and offered inclusive breakfast, which most hotels do not. We were not disappointed. Although the hotel is not in the centre of the city, it could not have been easier to travel in and out every day. We arrived at Schipol airport around 6:30pm and bought single tickets to "Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena" using the yellow ticket machines located in Schipol Plaza (follow signs to train station). You can use card or coins to pay (4 euro 80 per ticket) but you cannot use notes. It is only two stops to the hotel and a 13 minute journey. The trains do not all terminate in the same location, so use the large printed train timetable to help you to locate the next train to the hotel. Remember to tap your check in machines beside the escalators and tap to check out as you come through the barriers at Bijlmer. Tapping in at the airport is the only one that you may forget to do, as it is not required in order to physically get on to the train. However, you need to do this. For those, like myself, who aren't football fans, the arena is the football stadium. There was a match on when we arrived but it didn't feel rough or intimidating. The hotel is, literally, in front of you as you leave the station and impossible to miss. I signed up to Hilton Honors for free when booking the hotel. This offered me discount on the rate and, after downloading the app, I was able to choose my room 24 hours before arriving. We chose room 611. It is the top floor and away from the lifts. You can see and hear the trains from the room (you are right by the station!) but the noise didn't bother me at all as a light sleeper. It was more of a whoosh, than the noise of tracks. Reception were incredibly friendly. They told me that the room I chose was a very good room (I followed a TripAdvisor review with this!). Free water is provided at reception and there is a snack shop there, which is a little expensive, but nice for a little treat. Breakfast was good. It was VERY busy some days and finding a table was challenging. However, we tended to arrived half an hour before breakfast ended and found that they were still topping up fresh breads etc at this point and the queues were disappearing. I'm sure it was quiet early morning too. You can get cereals, make waffles, have a hot breakfast (not quite an Irish/ English breakfast) and lots of cold meats etc. I found that a lot of the foods were quite heavy but it offered a good start to the morning. The beds in the room were very comfortable and new towels were provided every day, if needed. My partner used the gym which was very quiet. Although basic, it does the job. Make use of the leaflets and maps provided, which are by the lifts and reception. Many have discount on local attractions. There are a few, very quiet, bars and restaurants near the hotel. The Grand Cafe next door serves some nice food and decent cocktails, if you don't want to go into the city every evening. There are some shops in an outdoor shopping area nearby, such as H&M, pharmacies, banks, Aldi. The area isn't exciting for a big night out but offers an alternative. To go into Amsterdam city centre, it could not be easier. Go back to Bijlmer Station and head to a grey GVB machine. Here, you can buy hour passes, or multi-day passes. We got the 96 hour, 4 day pass. This was 22 Euro each. This offers unlimited travel by tram or metro. The metro will take you into the city directly. This is the M54 service. It arrives every 15 mins and terminates at Amsterdam Centraal. As we grew in confidence, we realised that you can also get off at a few stops before the Centraal and be closer to some of the attractions and sites. The Metro stations are clearly marked on the free hotel maps and many others. Owning and bringing a map is essential!! Overall, our stay was wonderful and I was very glad to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city after hours of sightseeing. Remember to sign up to Hilton Honors and download their app for room choosing. We also got late check out as members, just from asking at reception. The hotel will also hold your bags if you have a late flight home and want to see the city one last time. Great stay. Collapse
