The Prince Regent is a lovely looking hotel with large carpark and spacious grounds. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the most spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with option of food cooked to order as well. The barman was excellent and though not on the menu offered to make requested cocktails which were excellent. The hotel does cater for weddings, parties, conferences etc and whilst most are in an adjacent building there is one large party room on the first floor. However even though loud when passing there are numerous double doors before bedrooms which meant we did not notice any music or noise from them in the corridors or the bedrooms. There is though noise from people returning to bedrooms at night as I feel the doors (unless just ours in room 107) as they let in light round the edges od the door this contributes to noise and and a seal or a better fitting door would help eradicate what can be quite loud noise from gueats returning to adjacent rooms though this is a small niggle. The hotel is fabulous and now is in our favourite 2 and considering we often stay in 5 star hotels and prefer ones with a swimming pool that says it all.. The staff are fabulous and try very hard to ensure guests needs are met so they enjoy their stay, the staff really make this hotel stand out. Collapse

My partner and I stayed at the Prince Regent from Friday to Sunday and we were blown away by how welcoming the team were the whole duration of our stay. The ladies on reception (we spoke to 3 helpful receptionists during our time there, one was called Debbie) were very helpful and printed off directions for us as we were wanting to get to a specific destination in Central London. The young lady who was in the bar in the afternoon on Friday and also at breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning was very welcoming and kind, she made sure everything was okay with our food and was always smiling. She always greeted us when we saw her and wished us a lovely day. The Duty Manager served us on Friday evening in the Restaurant - he was chatty and very attentive, making lots of conversation with us and making sure we had everything we needed. The Head Housekeeper was also very friendly, we would say hello to her every time we walked past her office to and from our room. I can’t thank all of the staff enough for how nice they were and how welcome they made us. Every team member was genuine and could not do enough to help. Thank you all for a lovely stay I would be delighted to visit you all again! Collapse

My husband and I stayed at the Hallmark hotel in December for a friend's birthday party. We booked a superior double room with a king size bed, spacious bedroom, with two arm chairs and a large flat screen television. Good quality bed, and bedding. Black out curtains ensured a lie in as well. Bathroom had a shower, basin and toilet, no bath, but the shower was spacious with great shower head. There were 3 toiletry products, a combination shampoo and conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Would have been nice to have separate shampoo and conditioners though. Large towels available too. We had a great breakfast, made to order eggs and the usual English breakfast fare, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns, tomatoes, mushrooms, and also pastries. Coffee was a bit weak, but tea was great. The building is great, would be lovely in the summer too I'm sure. Collapse
