We had our wedding at Hadlow Manor hotel on 12th August 2017. We have nothing but high compliments for the chef who provided the food which was done to a brilliant standard for both the food tasting and for the actual event. (catering for 50 adults) We were fortunate enough to set the room up the day before the wedding and most staff were friendly and accommodating to our every request. On the Wedding Day the duty manager, Rebecca introduced herself as soon she knew who we were and was most helpful in the run up to our ceremony. After this, we were introduced to another duty manager (Rob I believe) who again was very helpful and solved any queries we had quite swiftly. The commitment from both Managers gave the day a lovely friendly atmosphere and allowed the bride and groom to be calm and enjoy the day. Despite the hotel itself being fairly dated in some aspects, specifically in the rooms overall this did not put us off having our special day at this venue. We wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff, from the Duty Managers and chef, down to the bartenders and waiters who without them, our day wouldn't have run as smoothly and as perfect as it did. I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel over the weekend. We were part of a wedding party staying overnight in the hotel. We paid £100 a night for mould all over the bathroom. One dirty mug in the room for tea and coffee. Curtains didn't even close properly. The list goes on! Also, check your price when staying at the hotel. We were charged an extra £20 in comparison to other guests on the same night and we didn't even get breakfast included. Do yourself a favour and stay in the premier in down the road. Clean, comfortable and a good breakfast in the morning. Collapse

The Hadlow Manor is such a nice place to stay, the staff are very helpful and nothing is to much to ask for. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the condiments that you would normally expect. Parking is very good and not a problem, we were attending a wedding and there was plenty of space for everyone to park comfortably. The bar area was a little on the small side but adequate. Breakfast was included and although looked self service there were staff there to assist, also the food was well presented and very fresh. All in all a nice stay and would recommend Hadlow Manor the price for the overnight stay including breakfast was very good. Collapse

Stayed here for one night after my best mates wedding down the road at The Gardens in Yalding, which is around 10 mins away. I'm glad the wedding was unbelievable because the hotel was a massive let down. On the outside it looks beautiful, and you think it's going to be worth every penny. Unfortunately, it's not. The inside is very dated, I know this is the look they've probably gone for but it needs a touch up. Our room: the curtains didn't shut properly, there were plastic glasses in the bathroom for water which is just cheap. There were the leftovers of the previous occupants stay, in the bathroom (shower gel) which isn't a big deal but made me question how well they clean the rooms. There was rust underneath the sink, like and orange tinge. The bathroom is large enough to have a separate shower and bath but you're left with a cheap combination of a shower/bath. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which is why it got two stars from me. So much potential with this place, surely they've got the money to spend on fixing the place up. Overall, it's not cheap to stay here but you feel like you've been short changed. I paid £79 for a double room, when I could probably have got a stay at the nearest premier inn for less money and a nicer experience. Collapse

We drove down from Scotland on a Saturday in order to attend a family lunch birthday celebration on the Sunday. Then home again on Monday. When we arrived- after published check-in time- we went to reception, got our key and went to the room, but it was clearly not ready. The reception area and most public areas were heaving with people from a wedding. When we did eventually get to the room, an hour later, it was just about OK- but as others here have used the word, I shall too…”dated” and “shabby”. Nevertheless clean and tidy. Adequate. Just. We had asked to be in a quiet room and we were about as far away from the public areas as possible- full marks there. On the Sunday there was another wedding. This about sums it up- the hotel seems geared up to, and wants to make its money from, wedding and other parties. On the Saturday evening we decided to try the restaurant. Disastrous. The only positive to say was that we were not charged for the “meal”. When I called for the manager to complain he said that the chef was serving “deconstructed food” and “trying out new things” in the restaurant. Later in our conversation he said that the wedding guests were getting the regular food. As the example- my chicken caesar salad was a whole chunk of lettuce with a few slices of chicken and one anchovy on the plate with a tiny bit of grated cheese. When I asked for it to be done properly it was returned a few minutes later with the lettuce shredded, two more anchovies and a few croutons. That was it. We didn’t even try a main course- we felt it too risky- especially having seen what the only other restaurant guests were served. We did have a dessert each and they were fine. In contrast, breakfasts were excellent. And the Sunday lunch carvery was good. The front-line staff were pleasant and helpful- some appropriately embarrassed when things went wrong: as they did for other customers, not just ourselves. The fact that the manager didn’t charge us was good; however, there are some management principles that I suggest require attention. We shall never return here as hotel guests. Collapse
