I stayed here February half term ,with children aged 12 & 9 Postives Great location for the town and shopping . Very clean . Food was really good, hot , plentiful and a really wide choice. Lots of places to sit and get a drink, coffee bar , pool bar ,evening place for entertainment. Kids club was fine for the 9 year old girl. Free wifi. Not great was... trek to the beach ( no courtesy bus in low season which we were aware of when booking) No pool table , as whilst this is clearly shown as an activity available it is in Pepes Piano bar which in low season is only open on a Friday & Saturday 21.30 hours They don't say this on website No football allowed ....even when there is NO ONE around to be bothered by it ( obviously not appropriate when busy) consequently if you have a teenage boy they will be VERY BORED . No sun for a good part of the day ...you can chase it around the sun deck and pool if you are quick and enjoy a challenge it can be quite fun! Pool was beyond cold completly ice like it actually hurts . Girl didn't go in at all, boy did once I managed one length! The play area got untidy ( kids not using the bin!) but also the actual slide etc needs a scrub, ice cream and juice ...sticky grim and fairly horrible really This hotel is close to an Olympic pool (14+) so during our stay there were 3or 4 loud school groups French ,German & Danish ...never saw them supervised...they obviously don't queue ( def a Brit thing) pushing every lift button so you wait 10+minutes is fun for everyone! Said no one EVER !!! I had arranged to hire bikes whilst there when the guy brought them he was so doubtful of their safety whilst chained outside overnight that I didn't go ahead fearing I would lose my deposit..he was not complimentary about nearby apartments, but we didn't experience anything untoward so not sure about this . We did have a nice stay . It was value for money, not sure what high season would be like....if you just want to sunbathe around the pool and relax I would choose a different hotel. if you want a good base, to do other things ,but enjoy good food etc then this is a great hotel. Just spent a great few days at Greigo. The staff were as helpful and friendly as ever. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. Excellent selection of drinks and food was good particularly breakfast. Thank you everyone.

I travelled with my mum this time, and we enjoyed it,the staff are lovely the food and drinks of a good quality, also there are 3/4 bars you can use. But on a negative note this time was so noisy, there where kids running round the reception and corridors,(and seeing kids with toy guns shooting each other in this day and age was horrible to see),the security didn't seem to care about the rowdiness, this will be the reason i may not return early season,it was busy in July but not half as noisy. The beds are really comfy as well, I will return to this hotel but pick my time of year a bit better, Thanks for a nice weekend break. Collapse
On the poor side of OK...average at best.

Got back here last week after a weeks stay from 8th - 15th February. Cant fault the staff or the look of the hotel itself, it is very well presented, clean etc but there is really very little to do in the hotel - for kids or adults. There are some 'crazy games' during the day organised by 2 of the staff members but aside from that there is nothing apart from sitting beside the pool all day. One table tennis table, which was always occupied and two pool tables that could only be accessed in Pepes Bar between the hours of 9pm and 2am on a Friday and Saturday night, is just not enough for a hotel this size. Maybe a heated pool wouldnt go a miss either, espeically at this time of year seeing as the pool area spends more than half the day in the shade. Kids enjoyed the mini disco after dinner every night and the Flamenco dancing and magician was good one night but other than those the entertainment was below par. We went all inclusive and I have to say I wasnt impressed with the food on offer. No real variety in the main buffet area and similarly in La Gioconda restaurant it was pretty much the same only it wasnt as packed either at lunchtime or the one dinner time we reserved. Food was nice but eating mostly the same stuff everyday gets boring. I dont think we would bother staying again although we loved the area itself, a 20 minute walk to the beach, bus stop just up the street to get to Benalmadena for the day or the train station is 10 minutes away to go a bit further to Fuengirola or to Malaga itself. The rooms werent much to write home about either but if its simply somewhere to lay your head for the night its ok. One last thing I would say and I dont know if its simply about the time of the year but the bars are seriously understaffed especially at the weekend when half of Spain seemed to descend on the place. Oh! And dont go all inclusive just for the alcohol, I've had bottled water stronger than the stuff they put in the cocktails. Lord knows how many of those you would have to drink to actually get tipsy! Collapse
