Hotel location was very good ie Grand Hotel Majestic, very near to Powder gate, Palladium shopping mall and the Old Town. Loved the Christmas Market in the old town square, very pretty, paused to have a hot chocolate and cheesecake to keep us going - prices were quite reasonable considering we were in a capital city! Lovely trip to castle area, within reasonable walking distance though lost signage on the castle side of the Charles Bridge so ended up walking further than originally envisaged. Gorgeous goulash in bread basket in Castle cafe washed down by mulled red wine. Collapse

Stayed here for three nights 18-21 April as two couples. The hotel has a modern feel and is perfectly located to explore the lovely city on foot. 10 minutes walk to old town square with plenty of bars and restaurants on route. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well kept. All staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was good, all the usuals to choose from, we liked the omelette station. Nice to have a pianist playing during breakfast. Ideal place to stay for a short break in Prague. Would recommend. Collapse

The hotel has a modern feel and clearly is used by business/conference guests as well as tourists. Check in was efficient. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare but perfectly ok. Rooms are clean and functional. Our room overlooked an inner courtyard so was beautifully quiet at night even with the window open. We requested more pillows which were delivered quickly. The complimentary WiFi worked well. Well located for walking to all the main attractions. Old Town Square, 10 minute stroll, Charles Bridge 15 minutes and the castle around 25 minutes. This small city is perfectly walkable from the hotel, so don’t bother with transport passes. If you prefer “Hilton style” to “boutique and characterful” then this hotel is for you. Collapse

Spent 2/3 days in Prague, staying at the Grand Majestic Plaza, which my wife booked for my 50th Birthday. Hotel arranged the airport pick up which made transfer easier and first impressions of hotel did not disappoint and that continued for the rest of our stay. We requested an early check in if possible and as they were able to accommodate we were able to be out and about by mid-day. Check in took place in the spacious foyer and was quick, easy and any help or advice as given if needed. Our room (339) was on the 3rd floor and lifts, plus main hotel doors later at night, were operated by your room key which does provide a certain level of security. Room was spacious enough, very clean, large double bed, more than enough wardrobe space and a built in free safe. Separate bathroom nice, double sink included plus a large bath which included a shower overhead. Mini bar was fine and not too expensive although we did not use on this trip The morning of my birthday, room service delivered a bottle of champagne courtesy of the hotel and which was a nice touch and much appreciated. Hotel was located in a side street very near to the Palladium Shopping Mall and always felt safe even late at night. A couple of minutes walk over a main but easily crossed road and you begin your walk down various small streets which contained shops, bars and restaurants etc on the way to either Wenceslas Square or the Old Town Square whichever you prefer. A number of things to do during your visit and probably best to do a bit research and decide what for yourself. However things we did and what should be a must include, walking over the Charles Bridge, viewing the city from a boat trip along the river which splits the city, going up to Prague Castle (walking if possible) with views over the city and for any history buffs, seeing St Cyril's & Methodius Cathedral (Google Reinhard Heydrich). Food and drink in the city was nice and reasonably priced, especially when used to paying London prices for a beer. Would definitely recommend Prague and the Grand Majestic Plaza too if looking for city break. It's definitely not a location only for stag or hen parties, although we did visit Wednesday to Friday. Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Lovely hotel, staff seemed helpful, nice room, breakfast was lovely, we loved the strawberry juice that was given to us on arrival, i was also very pleased to see soya milk! The only reason i am not rating 5* is because we found silver fish bugs on the floor in our bedroom, this freaked me out as my suitcase had been on the floor right where we spotted the bugs, i was worried if any bugs got in my case. Other than that we had a great stay. Collapse
