Currently at Grand Beach Lovely large room with a lovely view. We are with our two well behaved boys aged 14 and 11 for 9 nights. The first 4 days have run with no issues. However on day 5 we are now being asked to pay for 2 additional sun beds at £10 dollars each. Our booking is for 4 people so why not allocate 4 sun beds. We don't need to pay for sun beds at the pool so why at the beach which is 10 meters away from the pool? A point I would have ignored, is we were allocated 2 welcome drinks on arrival when there are 4 of us. Swim nappies do not seem to be mentioned on the pools list of do's and dont's. The pool seems to have been closed more than it has been open for cleaning reasons. In addition at times of closure children under the age of 21 have been taken into the adult pool. Not my boys I hasten to add. My boys on filling up water bottles were told, don't use it all, the water is for everyone. Sorry but petty. A family friendly hotel that doesn't like children. Hopefully things can only get better. Collapse

This was awesome from arrival to departing very attentive staff from beach staff Jimmy to ... front desk Frankie and the newest female member of the bar in the lobby ... great location ... Starbucks around the corner with a lot of restaurants .. great housekeeping .. the only cons I will say is the bed isn't that comfortable and the air isn't consistent when trying to sleep if it doesn't make sense while reading .. you'll understand afterwards it works similar to being a patient in a hospital by the time you get comfortable to sleep that nurse comes and wakes you for vitals that is how the air works.. but please take advantage of the breakfast buffet it's worth it. We love staying at Miami Beach and this is the first time we stayed at this hotel. We were recommended by a friend and it was a great recommendation. We booked in advance so the room prices were very good and not expensive. We booked a king suite with a sofa bed and had a very nice ocean view. My sister in law arrived earlier that day and her room was not ready. She also had a king suite with a sofa bed. Since she was traveling with children the hotel staff was very nice and managed to offer her an upgrade. She was accommodated in a bigger suite with 2 bathrooms. Very nice, no extra cost. The rooms were very nicely put, comfortable, spacious and modern. So was the hotel. Very nicely decorated, with lots of light and space. The pool is small but since we prefer the beach we were fine. The beach was very good and the beach fee is included. Normally you are charged an extra beach fee for the chairs and umbrellas, at this hotel these are included. We would go early in the morning and reserve our chairs with no problem. Breakfast was also great. You can have the buffet or at la carte. Buffet is 26 usd but is very well served, good variety and quality. The eggs benedictin were great for example. Children pay 13 usd for the buffet starting at 3yrs old. My daughter is 3 and since she only had a chocolate milk and cereal we were not charged for that. That was nice from them. Staff is very friendly and service is very good. The only one thing I can say did not work for us, was that the restaurant and coffee shop closed early, so did the room service. We arrived around 11pm to the hotel since our flight was delayed and had nothing to eat since lunch. We were traveling with my children and inlaws. It would have been nice if they had late room service, at least a a few plates or sandwiches from the menu. Other than that we all had a good experience. There was no late check out since the hotel was fully booked but they offer hospitality rooms for you to change and take a shower. You can book early in advance the hospitality room so that you can stay longer at the beach. The hospitality room is available for one hour, so it does become handy if you ha e a late flight and want to enjoy the beach during the day. Location is great and very close to Balharbour shops. We would definitely go back. Collapse

The hotel itself was very nice however numerous events made the stay rather frustrating. Check in was at 4 however our room wasn't ready until 6. The front desk staff was very nice though and gave us drink tickets for the inconvenience. The room was very nice but the screaming baby in the room next to ours was unfortunate. The people kept piling garbage outside their room including a dirty diaper. One night when we went to get our car out of valet they informed us they have the car but had lost the keys. The lady working said they had lost her keys too which made me feel worse not better. After a half hour they found the keys and we got our car. The final thing that was unfortunate was the pedicure o received, the pedicure was nice however the paint job was so bad. The polish was spotty and missing in areas but it was only $35 plus the 20% tip that wasn't optional however I wouldn't have given that much had I been given the option. I guess since she knew she was being tipped already she didn't feel it necessary to do a good job. We enjoyed our stay but these issues were very frustrating and made for a less than optimal experience. Collapse

Although in surfside and a good 15 minutes away from centre Miami. We loved this hotel. Great lobby, great bell boy service and all in all good hotel. The pool area was lovely, Plenty of beds and the beach was great too. Also loved the roof top pool but my daughter was too youn so we only visited once, but a stunning view. We had a 2 bed suite for 5 adults and it was ample. Rooms and bathrooms were great. Only downside was the cleanliness of the room was a little lacking. Apart from that I wouldn't fault this hotel. Some nice restaurants around and liked that we were outside busy Miami. We all loved it. Collapse
