Stayed here for 2 weeks in August a family of 4 with young children. Upon arrival friendly staff at reception informed us to check in later, place suitcases in a room and get into restaurant before it closed so we could have something to eat. Check in quick and easy, I had emailed before hand to ask if we could have a room next to another family we were travelling with. They had tried their best and we were next door but one, with a free upgrade looking over the golf course , perfect!! Food - amazing so much choice and plenty of it. Different theme every night but always something to cater for everyone's taste. Drink - again plenty of choice Pools - 3 pools plenty of sun beds Happy Bus - a daily bus service to take you to town , beach or Siam park. Free and always on time. Entertainment - different every night and something for everyone. Party night every week with cocktail service to the tables. Nice Mojito! Staff - always happy and smiling, work very hard to ensure you have a perfect stay. Maid service - great always a clean room and beds made with fresh towels (need this service Hotel - although out of the main resort slightly, it was clean, well maintained and a safe environment. A perfect hotel for a relaxing break Collapse

Well where to start ..... Amazing, Amazing, Amazing .... from start to finish ! I've read the last few reviews from people that stayed at the same time as us and honestly I have never read such tripe ! So .... here goes ... a TRUE ACCURATE review !! CHECK IN We arrived a party of 14 just before 1 am .... reception was manned with 2 people and we were quickly informed of everything, passports checked, forms filled in, AI bracelets on and maps and instructions given. As it was late there was no bar or restaurant open which was fine as we all just wanted our beds ! They gave us large cartons of juice which was welcome. Shout out to reception Enrique, Pepe, Luis, Daniel, Lydia - superstars ! Just to clarify our youngest was 2 years right up to 73 years. 4 children, 10 adults ROOMS So there is a walk to your room but we are talking 5-10 minutes max when you have a suitcase or 10! It's not miles and THERE ARE SLOPES FOR PUSHCHAIRS/WHEELCHAIRS/SUITCASES. We arrived in our room which was a duplex room 132. There is one step into the room onto a small landing then a normal flights of stairs down and three steps up to the living area where there is a tv, kitchen, table and chairs and settee. There is a pull down bed from under the TV. Unfortunately for us (a family of 4) there were only three beds. However my husband went down to reception and this was sorted with an apology and a mattress and bedding arrived within 5 mins. Yes it was a mattress but our kids are only young and we had them in the downstairs room with us so it was like a big sleepover party and everyone slept brilliantly ! Black out curtains are wonderful ! Air con both up and downstairs. Bathroom was a bathroom. Fridge and kettle, small oven etc in kitchen. No safe in bedroom but one easily rented from reception. FOOD/RESTAURANT/BARS Every night is a different theme, Chinese, Spanish, canarian, tex-mex, Italian, gala etc etc. Separate kids lower buffet area with usual of chips, chicken nuggets, rice, fish fingers etc. The most amazing tasting salads and veg ive had in a long while in an AI buffet, varied meat, fish, etc. Lovely breads, kebab with pitta, Tortilla wraps etc. Self service wine, beer, soft drinks, juice and water. Free cava every lunch n dinner ... very drinkable and white red and rose wine went down well with the adults in our party. My only down would be the desserts were very samey every night but this wasn't an issue for me but some people like a good pud ! Restaurant staff are quick, efficient, clean, tidy and always on the ball, cleaning, tidying tables etc. Friendly, chatty and always happy to help and say hola ! Special mention to Alejandro, Javier and the fantastic restaurant manager Luis ! The greatest of all time ! So friendly and animated and everyone loved him, the kids, the adults, everyone !! Thank you Luis you are a legend !! Same goes for the bars ! The pool bar and taste bar were well stocked, well run and service with a smile everytime ! Our main man Jose Manuel on the bar (this is from the limoncello lady!) te quiero ! Christina - beautiful lady ! Seriously lovely people ! The pool bar served snacks and lunch which were lovely and fresh and well stocked. POOL Three pools, a round shallow baby pool, a medium sized one with a small shallow cordoned off area and sun beds in the water. A third large pool with steps going down into it, seats around two sides of the pool and a round area to sit in in the middle. Clean and clear water and soccoristas (lifeguards) always available and more importantly on the ball and watching ! Sunbeds were close together but not so as to cause a problem, parasols and beds could always be found. No towels on sunbeds before 9, if they were and were left they were removed and if towels were left for more than an hour during the day they were also removed. Definitely no need for a 730 run ! All around the poo has green grass lining so no slippery tiles next to the pool. The steps can be slippery but just be careful and cautious ! As you would anywhere ! On certain days there is also an inflatable slide that comes out ! Great fun, kids love it, just beware of the blonde haired miserable looking man, he is grumpy, horrible and hates kids ! Ignore him, just enjoy it ! I reported him to Enrique on reception who was most apologetic. ENTERTAINMENT Daily entertainment from the team, partake or not partake no pressure ! Thursday nights are the best ! Quiz night is good too. Day and night time entertainment for all. No kids club as such but that was fine for us the kids loved the pool! GENERAL The hotel is situated in a cul de sac next to another hotel. The area around it is under construction but it's not a problem to the hotel. Within easy walking distance ( about 10-15 mins) there is a small shopping centre with a mercadona,h n m etc. The hotel has a free bus service that takes you to town and the beach or to Siam park, runs throughout day at set times. Los cristianos lots of shops and bars, and next to that playa las vistas the beach area. Shops like pandora, hard rock, Zara etc etc. Taxis are around 5euros to anywhere and are safe and reliable. We used them to go out in day and evening. Chill out bar in Los cristianos is a fantastic restaurant if you want to get out or have a special meal. Siam Park is also a must, can't recommend it enough, go early, avoid the rush n get on those rides ! Great day out for all ages ! Mustcat catamaran tour amazing crew, boat, and the whales and dolphins are adorable, AND in their OWN environment !! Previous reviews mentioned that they were pressured into buying things around the pool and hotel .... there are posters advertising premium AI ... you don't need it unless you have to have brand spirits, a lady walks around every other day modelling clothes that are available to buy IF YOU WANT TO - NO PRESSURE and there is a sun care advisor who has a range of products in case you are having problems with your skin etc in the sun .... again NO PRESSURE ! Towels are provided for pool too. Get from reception and return there too. Overall I cannot rate this hotel highly enough! Even on our last night when one of our party hurt herself dancing, we helped her around the pool and the lifeguard and general manager were there in a shot, helping, getting us medical help. GM always there and around, so approachable and lovely. Reception were amazing during this time too, got a wheeelchair, offered any assistance we needed and were outstanding ! Enrique and Pepe you r both amazing and adorable !! Incidentally the hospital were brilliant too and spoke English which was really great. If I hadn't of already books my next holiday I would be back next year! Thanks you Gran Oasis it was an absolute pleasure ! Xxxxxx Collapse

We stayed here in August, a family of four with two boys aged 14 and 11. The hotel is really well looked after, everywhere was always clean, well maintained and has a lovely feel. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the staff at this hotel are always cheerful, friendly and happy to help with anything. We had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the golf course, which was really lovely, especially in the evenings. There was always plenty of food, and the different themed food each night meant that there was always a variety of food to choose from. I can be quite a fussy eater but I didn't have any problems finding a full plate each night! There was also a small children's area where they could get 'kiddy' food at every meal, chips, fish fingers etc. We all had an amazing holiday, and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Gran Oasis again if we go back to Tenerife. We have just returned from a 14 night holiday at the Gran Oasis. It was brilliant! The children are already asking when can they go back. Staff: The staff are so helpful and also have a genuine interest in you. Everyone is happy and nothing is too much trouble. I emailed the hotel in advance with a particular room request and it was noted and we got the perfect room. Louis the Restaurant manager greets you like friends, the reception staff are efficient and always full of helpful hints. The animation team are vibrant and have a great rapport with all ages. Rooms / Hotel Location: The rooms are a little dated but are perfectly ok and if you have children it is lovely to have them on another floor! The hotel location is a little far away from the town but the hotel provides a coach service to the beach and towns and taxi's are only 5 Euros. Food and Drink: The restaurant has a lovely offering and daily themed menu, A children's buffet is also available. Drinks were local drinks but again are fine. Swimming Pools / Sunbeds: The three swimming pools area's are always kept clean and you can easily get a sunbed. The hotel introduced a 'no towels on sunbeds before 9am rule' and this definitely works. You do still get the sad people who will camp out from 7am having to sleep on their sunbeds covered in towels to keep warm but at least 90% of guests adhere to the rule and it is a very refreshing change that other hotels should implement. Enterainment: The entertainment is better than I expected. The only comment I would make is to avoid the 'Mister Sister' evening. The language and some of the act was not suitable for young children. The party days on Thursdays are a excellent though! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be going again!! NOTE - be aware you must be able to walk up stairs. Depending on where your room is, you might find you don't need to join in the with the water aerobics as your daily climb is enough!! Collapse

We stayed for 10 days in Aug 2017. It's a lovely family focused friendly hotel. The rooms are spacious and suitable for a family of four easily. Two teenagers managed fine on the fold out beds in the lounge. As in a lot of Canary Island resorts, the complex is tiered over the hillsides, so there's a lot of steps to the rooms at the back. The 84 steps were our aerobic exercise for the holiday. Food is good and fresh and plentiful. No complaints over cleanliness at all and we found the hotel and gardens beautifully maintained. Our daughter used the gym and said it was really well equipped. Free to use, just pick up a key from reception. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, always something to watch and we joined in a couple of water polo games, and football sessions that were held in the daytime. We particularly liked the hotels policy of not allowing the sun beds to be reserved prior to 9am. It's lovely to be able to wander out after breakfast and still be able to get 4 beds together! Well done Gran Oasis. The complex is a little far away from any bars or shops, we couldn't have walked into the town in the heat. However, Taxis are readily available within minutes and it's about 5 euros to be taken into town. So long as you factor the taxi costs into your budget it's fine. Overall we were impressed with the family ethos of the place and would return. Collapse
