We stayed just the one night at this hotel while in Glasgow for a sporting event, we had lots of Marriott bonvoy points which we used to pay for our accommodation, on arrival the lovely lady at reception (Gillian) offered us an upgrade to an executive room (1202) which suited our needs perfectly. When we entered our room we were greeted with balloons some prosecco chilling in an ice bucket and a very thoughtful birthday card signed by the staff, ( it was my birthday the previous day) it really was such a lovely gesture so very much appreciated by me. As I mentioned the room was lovely with everything we needed provided for us, we had some drinks in the bar served by very attentive staff and breakfast before we departed was lovely again served by most attentive staff, all the staff were very friendly and always acknowledged you in passing, special thanks to Gillian at reception and to a gentleman in the bar (sorry I didn't get his name but he finished at 11pm on Thursday night) he was very helpful and nothing was a bother to him. Visited Marriott hotel on 4th July. First time to stay there. Will definitely go back. Very friendly and professional staff especially Jana. When she discovered it was my wedding anniversary she arranged for balloons, bubbly and a card, signed by staff members , to be left in our room. Was so touched by this. Thank you so much. Very much appreciated. Collapse

Stayed here for 1 night to explore the city of Glasgow. Decent size paid parking lot (~12£) behind the facility, fairly reasonable given the high parking prices elsewhere. Hotel is definitely not the newest, but the lobby looks remodeled in the last few years. Comfortable seating, a nice restauarnt with a great breakfast spread (best I saw on the trip). Front desk was nice and efficient, gave us a lounge key since we arrived early and guided us to the hop-on hop-off tourist bus across the street. Got a room with two queens. Beds were comfortable enough, floor was relatively quiet as well. Room itself was not the newest but acceptable in terms of age, although still had to hunt for power outlets. Everything worked in the bathroom, although the toilet took a long time to refill between flushes which was a major PITA. No issues with wi-fi, fast and did the job. Lounge wasn't overcrowded but food and drinks weren't refilled in a timely manner and the single lounge attendant looked highly stressed. Thats what happens with free alcohol I guess. Collapse

What a dump of a hotel, not worthy of the Marriott brand. Our room was uncomfortably hot even though it was quite cool outside. You can't open the windows. When I called the front desk, they sent up a fan, which helped us get to sleep. Pity the person stuck there on a really hot day. All the light switches, the phone and remote had grime on them. Overall, the place had the palor of a 1960s hotel, last thoroughly cleaned decades ago. Only thing worthy of good comment is the efficient and friendly staff. Too bad they have to work in this substandard structure which should be leveled and rebuilt. Stay somewhere else. Collapse

Stayed for 2 nights this earlier this month and wasn’t disappointed. Staff as ever are really friendly and extremely helpful. Cast Iron Grill changed their menu while I was there and I ate both nights there. Really good selection to satisfy all tastes. Only downfall with this hotel is that it is so popular, I can’t always get a room there so have to go elsewhere. I will be back as soon as I can get in! Collapse
