We arrived in the hotel at twelve noon and we were greeted by the woman at reception who turned out to be quite rude. She told us checkout was only at twelve so we'd have to wait an hour or two before our room was ready. Five hours later, our room still wasn't available. We finally got to our room and in fairness the rooms are really nice, including the view. I was sitting on the couch reading a magazine one day when I noticed ants crawling around the couch. The room is supposed to be cleaned every three days but the cleaners didn't bother with our room for the whole seven days we were there. They just replaced our towels and toilet roll and not the bed sheets. Really disappointed with the staff here. The pool was alright. There is a bar at the side. Choice of music was very repetitive. The hotel itself didn't have much entertainment. The only two things I seen was water aerobics and a disco at night time which was empty every night. The beach beside the hotel isn't that great, better off walking further up. The town is a good fifteen/ twenty minute walk from the hotel. The 24 hour square is where you will find a lot of nightlife. (BEWARE OF THIEVES!!!) I know someone that was robbed there. The Mercadona supermarket is a ten minute walk from the hotel. When you come out of the hotel turn right and keep walking straight and when you come to a roundabout turn right and head up that road. It will be to the left. Tbh I wasn't pushed by this hotel. Some staff really nice others just ok. Nice food from pool snack bar but drinks quite expensive. The nearest bar/restaurant is 10 min walk which we didn't mind. There's a pebbly beach across the way. It's not the life and soul but for a few days in the sun, perfect Collapse

I'm just home from this Hotel where I spent the last week. After the first day/ night we only returned to this hotel to sleep! We travelled with our 2 year old daughter. On arrival we were charged 6euro per day for a cot.!!! So when we arrived at 10pm we just agreed as we were tired from the travel. This was after a 5 euro charge for a car seat for our daughter in a private transfer. The Apartment was standard ,clean , spacious with a sea view room 802. To anyone booking this hotel make sure you get a room with a view because other than that there is literally nothing to do at this hotel! So day one we went to the pool.. Which was completely freezing considering it was the first week of July. Tap water running into it!!! The pool is small. The food is only what you eat when needs be. It's advertised as a family hotel! One good thing was it had an impressive small bouncy castle for little ones with a play area.. But then there is a group of lads approx. 12 of them pissed out of their heads roaring, shouting, blaring music that the pool staff allowed them too?? On hotel speakers...?? Like I was once that age and get it, but completely inappropriate when there is a number of small children around More like a rave not a family resort.. It's 35 min walk to Puerto Marina (life). The holiday was worth the trip down to the Marina. Its stunning! Such a lovely place and can't wait to go back but not back to the First Flat International hotel. Our Kitchen had no oven yet supposed to be self catering. There was hardly any cutlery.. I'm glad I had only one child with me as eating in wasn't an option at all. the Air conditioning needs a service. There was a door in our bedroom that was joined to next door! We could hear everything and I mean everything. So day 2.. 9am.. get the hell out of here!!! on a bus it was 3.10euro to go the marina. There we found little restaurants with lovely staff and food.. We came back up that evening at about 5pm to get ready for going back down for dinner as the food in this hotel is not even eatable. (unless you want to feel sick) So there was no washing machine.. So I was informed to go to floor E. So its 4euro to wash your clothes. Another expense! So I had no change so I went to reception to get change. I seen there was a large group checking in so I decided to got to the bar! (made sense?) I was roared at by an extremely rude bar lady to go to reception. On the next night I went to order my partner a burger and I got faced with the same one! the angry bar lady!! She and another bar guy talked in spanish about me and laughed their heads off I had to sit and wait for his burger so I ordered a drink.. Supposed to be a sex on the beach.. yes it was a non alcoholic one after I paid 6euro. I was that upset I went back up to my partner in tears. Very few selected staff that are friendly and if they want to advertise this hotel as in the top 4 in Belemadena well I strongly advise they send them staff members on a course on how to treat paying customers because without us they wouldn't have a job!!!! Belemadena is a beautiful place and I would advise anyone to go there with kids but do your research first.Stay away from Selwo dolphin park!250euro I spent in 2 hours! Worst experience ever ! MONEY GRABBERS!!!!!! OH and lets not forget the wifi! you have to log in a lot and connection isn't great. bring your own towels too as there is a 15euro charge at reception! Another pleasant surprise.. Don't give it to them go to a supermarket that sells towels for 6 euro and it's yours to keep. The restaurant tried to charge us 12 euro for our daughter that ate one slice of bread roll. Same lady tried to argue it was 12euro for my daughter I tried to explain she's not eating and sure her English was so poor I might as well of talked to the wall. My daughter just turned 2 and even in Ireland or the UK you can get a baby bowl for 3 euro or some places serve babies for free!... Collapse
