We flew from Manchester to Copenhagen and stayed 4 nights in the well situated First Hotel 27, which was a 10/15 min walk from the main station and an easy walk to the centre of the city. We had pre-booked a 72 hr Copenhagen Card which gave us free transport and free entry to attractions - including the Grand Tour on the waterways and the various museums/palaces we wished to visit. We were spoilt for choice by the number of tempting cafes and restaurants and found the whole place attractive, interesting and lively. Well worth going! Collapse

Recently had a Mon-Fri break in Copenhagen to celebrate my wife’s birthday anf First Hotel Twentyseven was the perfect base. Simply put the location is so perfectly central to enjoying all the the wonderful (wonderful) Copenhagen has to offer. The only reason the review wasn’t a 5 was due to the lack of a bar in the hotel but it is surrounded by wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants and the now defunct cocktail bar can still be used as a relaxing lounge. I stayedi ina Junior Suite which was worth it for the extra space and the wonderful rooftop views. The Scandinavian style interiors might be too modern for some but we absolutely loved it and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Another plus was perhaps the friendliest, most helpful reception staff we have ever encountered. All in all, great value for money. Collapse

The only positive thing that can be said about this hotel is the location, despite the fact that if you get rooms facing the street, the church bells will wake you up. Images look nice, but this hotel needs to be renovated - look at images from the room - bathroom is not acceptable, and when lying in bed you see clear indications of water leakage . Ice cube machines in the hall is not working, so you must chace all floors in order to find some. Sorry to say, but this is taken of my list. And if you have a car, you have a challenge Collapse
