My friend and I visited Friday and Saturday with a spa day on the Friday. It wasn’t too busy which was great. Good sized gym, nice outdoor jacuzzi. Spa treatments were very nice. Lunch was lovely - not the usual minuscule “healthy” options you often get for spa packages, because lunch was in the main hotel (so you can’t wear your robe). Dinner and breakfast also were good. Hotel very pleasant- staff polite and friendly. Rooms could do with sheets not duvet in summer as it was very hot so had to open window and then got woken by birds. Also a leaflet about the history of the hotel would be a nice touch besides the photographs on the walls of restoration work. Plus the construction machinery started at 8am accompanied by shouting (on a Saturday!) Apart from those niggles, a pleasant stay and would visit again. Collapse

Me and my partner stayed for one night with dinner as a birthday treat. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with high quality bed linen. We are both foodies and not easy to please but the evening meal was superb and could not fault it. On return to the room staff had left a birthday card for my partner, and a selection of fruit. Which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was just as good as the evening meal. I would highly recommend and will definately be returning. Collapse

We stayed just one night for my wife's birthday - we booked a Family Room in the courtyard. The approach and grounds are stunning - set in acres of countryside. All the staff we encountered were excellent, impeccably conducted, efficient and friendly. Reception service was quick and simple. Note: If you have heavy luggage, note that there is no luggage service offered and there is no lift in the courtyard section. The Family Courtyard Room was on split levels with double bed and ensuite on the entrance level and a loft space with double sofa bed for the kids. The room was well appointed with a mix of what we believe was antique, faux antique and modern which sometimes gel seamlessly as it should. The bathroom was large with separate shower cubicle. Generally, I would say that it is soon coming up to requiring refurbishment. The main lounge is very impressive with history dating back to the sixth century and boasting famous past residents as King Henry VIII and Elizabeth I (I believe). We had cocktails here before proceeding to the restaurant which was more intimate with low lighting and ceilings. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient with a slate of a birthday celebration at the end which was done at the initiative of the hotel. Food - now I am going to be extremely picky. It was good but generally more expensive than what I would have imagined would be on the plate. I expected more refinement in the presentation. Dont get me wrong, it was tasty and we had a great time. Wine selection was wide - price for 2 adults 2 children with wine - well over GBP200. Collapse

We have stayed at the wonderful Fawsley Hall several times now .... it is the hotel we head to for a relaxing break when we get childcare for the night as it has everything we look for in short break - beautiful surroundings, great spa and fantastic food. But this time we decided to bring along our two children ( 6 and 11) as we thought that they are at the age which they would enjoy it . After a very warm welcome from the reception staff, the staff had put on an Easter egg hunt for the children staying ( we stayed over the Easter break) in their fantastic gardens , even better that it was the hottest day of the year so far so great to enjoy Fawsley’s outdoor space. We checked into our room - our favourite room Robert Dudley which is a beautiful four poster with lots of traditional character, and two beds were made up for our children with an Easter egg on each which was a nice touch, and then headed for afternoon tea in the great hall which we would thoroughly recommend. They even do a child’s tea with an array of biscuits and cakes which they loved. We were served by the fantastic Mo, who we have met any times before and have always enjoyed his company and service. Mo really is a credit to the hotel and he is absolutely brilliant at his job. The hotel has child restriction times for swimming. At first we wondered how this would work , but actually the two hours is plenty and just right. With it being a bank holiday there were also quite a few other children in the pool to play with . The quality of food in the evening is still very high. As well as offering half portions of some dishes which our elder daughter chose , they also offer a more child friendly menu for the younger ones . They both loved the the historic quirkiness of the old restaurant . Breakfast is amazing . Both the cooked breakfast and the eggs benedict are of very high quality, and the children loved the homemade pancakes with fruit ! All the staff at Fawsley hall cannot be faulted and offer welcoming customer service, they were also great with the younger guests ! We are looking forward to returning to Fawsley hall again soon, and it’s great to know that the hotel can be enjoyed just as much as a family break as a ‘ time out’ couples break too. Collapse

We hosted one of our more prestigious events at this beautiful, historic location. We found the team very helpful in the run up to the event and appreciated the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude. The easy and open communication prior to the event made for a seamless event over the two days. Our delegates had a wonderful time and commented on the happy, helpful staff that made them feel so welcome and tended to. The venue is beautiful, the food was great and everyone had a fantastic time. Collapse
