Just returned from a lovely weekend where our friends were married in the hotel. The ceremony room was stunning, full of crushed velvet chairs and luxurious wallpaper and carpet. The hotel was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room and en-suite were very clean and the bed was very comfortable and the bath was deep and there was plenty of hot water. There were only 2 minor drawbacks; one was the bar in the evening, it had a constant queue for most of the night, at one point I could only see one barman and he kept being called away but my husband said he saw one more barman join him later. This made the bar area appear busier and made it difficult to walk around the bar area - but there was another room where the disco was so plenty of space elsewhere. The second drawback was the full English breakfast - cold toast and scrambled eggs which were soggy and watery. But apart from those two minor points the weekend was wonderful, the staff were helpful and friendly, the grounds are stunning and we would love to return soon. Collapse

Very disappointed by this hotel, especially as it was my brother's wedding. Although the wedding day itself was lovely. I really do not recommend staying at the hotel. It looks lovely from the outside but very dated on the inside & some of the rooms are really tiny. The noise through the night was very loud & never found out what it was but sounded like furniture was being moved around from 4am. The breakfast was limiting & of poor quality, consisting of undercooked meat, very greasy eggs & rotten bananas. The utensils were left on the hot surface under the light & two people burned their hands. The staff tried to be helpful but were a little clueless & the manager was not concerned, as I did explain to him the problems my family had during our stay but he was disinterested & didn't even apologies. The town of Farnham is beautiful however with much better places to stay. Collapse

My business booked the hotel as our base for a media event held on a local estate. We used FHH for six days/nights and ran our ops from here. Nothing was ever a problem to any of staff despite some late additions to the event everyone was catered for without any quibble. We had lunch and evening meals at hotel. All perfect! As we were a group of over twenty people, coming & going at all hours we were possibly the most difficult group they had had to deal with but again nothing was a problem and they also managed to run two funeral wakes, a birthday party & a wedding party around us. Our POC Sarah & events co-ordinator fully supported all our needs including the provision of jelly babies on the reception to cater for one of the sweeter-toothed participants. Well done FHH you smashed it out of the park!! Collapse
Nice 1920’s hotel with good breakfasts. Good value - country location

As a Surveyor I loved the 1920’s design - characterful and relaxed. Out in the sticks so need a car for access. Staff friendly and helpful and good VFM for a weekend break. Another to add to my list of friendly privately-owned hotels
