Stayed here for 7 nights on a last minute trip to PDP as our normal accommodation was booked out. I must confess I was a little unsure despite the good reviews purely because it had previously been a hostel and I was also concerned about the noise factor. Nothing to be concerned about it turns out! This place is great! If you're seeking a fancy hotel its not for you, but if you're after a spotlessly clean small quiet hotel at a fraction of the cost of others then pick Hotel Eolo. From check in to check out staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The check in desk is located in the centre of the restaurant but serves its purpose. There is a very small old style elevator to the left that sometimes you have to wait a bit for but functions perfectly and takes two people with two small suitcases. We had booked a double room with sea view balcony - and that's what we got. Yes the rooms are a little on the small side but they are spotless! Beds are comfy with extra pillows/blankets provided, good sized wardrobe with drawers and a safe, flatscreen tv with tonnes of channels, stocked minibar, great wifi and brilliant AC. The bathroom was small but perfectly functional with lovely waterfall shower, good pressure and always hot water. Toiletries were provided and towels changed everyday if you wanted. There was also a lovely handwritten welcome note and a complimentary bottle of water waiting for us which was much appreciated as it was hot and we arrived late. There was a decent sized balcony with chairs and table overlooking the street and view of the Marina, lovely to sit out on at night with a glass of wine and people watch. Other great points of this little place are the rooftop terrace - its lovely and the one cool night we had (we arrived in the midst of a heatwave!) we sat up there for a couple of hours on the comfy loungers and had drinks (you dial 9 on the wallphone, place your order and a waiter brings your drinks up to you). Fab views and lovely place to chill out. Another bonus is beach towels!! The hotel very kindly provides huge fluffy beach towels for guests at no cost or even a deposit! You can change every few days if you wish for fresh ones. Fabulous idea as we always travel hand luggage only and it means guests aren't using their bathroom towels on the beach! Breakfast was included in our very reasonable rate however unfortunately didn't get to try it - aforementioned heatwave meant we were wiped and slept too late most mornings making the most of the chilled room - however I did go down just as it was finishing up one morning and even though it was end of service there were still plenty of items; lots of pastries, yoghurts, cheeses, meats and the usual eggs/bacon/hashbrowns - certainly seemed plentiful and decent. In short this hotel will be our "go to" hotel if ever stuck again. To be honest we've stayed in the Daina across the road once before also and there really was no discernible difference in either the size of room or quality of service. The only thing is the furnishings may be a bit less plush (though all new and super clean) and there is no pool..and very narrow corridors!! But otherwise its a perfectly acceptable alternative for a fraction of the price. I would however recommend booking the larger "sea view with balcony" rooms as we did glance at some other rooms during cleaning service some mornings and some were tiny! However the hotel website clearly draws attention to the various options and prices accordingly. Despite the central location there was no noise once doors were closed, in fact we had some of the best nights sleeps. The last couple of nights there was a particularly loud family in one of the rooms next door and we could hear them talking (shouting as such) but otherwise we didn't notice any other noise or "thin wall" issues during our stay. Would have zero hesitation recommending this hotel as an excellent budget option - lovely rooms, lovely staff and great location! Collapse

Couldn't rate this hotel highly enough- very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the sea. The rooftop bar adds to the overall experience and the breakfast had plenty for everyone- even a glass of prosecco if required! The location is in the centre of the port, with the beach only 30 seconds away. The only downside is that there was a festival the night before our departure, which lasted until 5:30am- we could hear the music as though we were there ourselves which meant we were very tired for our flight home, but that's absolutely no fault of the hotel. I'd fully recommend to anyone wanting to stay near the beach/shops/restaurants and bars Collapse

Hotel Adults Only But the Restaurant is Not and watching a baby being breast fed ( uncovered) at breakfast with 3 siblings crying/shouting at the same time is a major disadvantage of this "adults only" hotel. On arrival they discovered that our reservation had been mislaid but luckily they found a room that was an upgrade to the one we had booked. The place is modern spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant food is basically Pizza or other Italian food which is acceptable and subject to a discount to residents. Breakfasts are self serve and open to any passers by (hence the breast feeding incident) and should in my opinion have a separate area for residents. The reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable no parking but good value and would return Collapse

My partner booked us a 4 day break last minute and this was where we stayed. A very warm welcome from reception and although our room wasn't ready we were invited to pop up to the terrace and a coffee was brought up to us whilst we waited. After ten minutes the lovely receptionist came to get us and tell us our luggage had been taken to our room and it was ready. Nothing was too much trouble, a great little hotel perfectly placed in the centre of the resort. Good breakfast, lots of choice and very personal service. We had room 201 and as we booked late no rooms were available with a balcony but to be honest it didn't matter. Room was small, but clean and bright and exactly what we needed for a 3 night stay. We will return. Collapse

We were on holiday in Cala bona majorca for two weeks but decided halfway through to visit Porto pollensa for one night hence ( holiday holiday ) we stayed at the hotel eolo which we were presently surprised how good this hotel was we were met my Eva on reception she was really helpful and sorted out a problem as we had left our passports at our apartment but Eva made a phone call and sorted things out for us. The hotel was clean and tidy and was one of the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Would certainly use again. Collapse
