We had a difficult time getting into the hotel, because the front entrance is blocked with a gate on one side. A sign that states the hotel must be entered through the airport would have been helpful. Instead, we were given a paper with multiple directions that was confusing and unclear. When we got to the entrance, we were not offered any help at all with our bags. The concierge passed us and helped a white couple behind us. This was very hurtful, as I lived in Charlottesville, VA and the recent events there have hurt me deeply. I should state I am a woman of color. I almost started crying, my welcome at your hotel was so hurtful. Our room was not equipped with any information on what the hotel offers or what menu is available through room service. Also, we were on the 7th floor with 2 small children; there were NO SCREENS on the windows. This is very dangerous. I have not experienced anything like this experience with Embassy Suites before. I checked in last Wednesday with my kids. We stayed in room 727. Mr. Calvin Cherry was very helpful and provided above average service during my stay. I happened to lose my dental insurance card, and Mr. Cherry was prompt in contacting me when it was found and making sure it was returned safely. This was my first time staying at this property, and I would gladly return because of the genuine and wholehearted service I received. Thank you! -Nasser Collapse

This property is near (but not on) BOS airport property. The shuttle driver from the airport to the hotel was extraordinarily courteous, efficient, and just overall nice - he got double my usual tip. Check-in was routine, but subsequently got false and misleading directions to the "T." It's not 4-mins as proclaimed - I was sent on a wild goose chase through a park that was a delightful walk, but cost me 3-hrs of time. And I never got to the "T!" I finally called Uber for a lift to my meeting. The evening "reception" is extraordinarily skimpy and not in keeping with the typical Embassy evening receptions (as a Diamond, I have seen plenty). If you're lucky you might get a few gummy worms. Breakfast was decent, however. Nevertheless, the overall impression is a neglected, run-down and worn out property with surly staff. I can only recommend this property to distressed travelers with no other options for a pillow. Suggest refurbishing overall and adding niceties such as info on the website regarding shuttle directions from the airport and, perhaps, a map that clarifies walking directions to the "T" from the hotel. Staff should be coached to not provide false and misleading information to guests. Collapse

I used to stay in Hilton hotels on many of my business trips. This one was the last time for good - it was a nightmare. I booked a suite for $422 a night, so I expected some up-scale room and service. What I got was really disturbing: The carpet was so dirty that after walking once across the room my fresh white sports socks looked dark brown-greyish. The "convenience store" was completely sold out. The breakfast was extremely low quality (cold eggs, indigestible coffee etc.) When I checked out I tried to give the clerk a friendly feedback on the dirty floor. She did not seem to care, did not note down my friendly confidential criticism and charged me the full $422. When I came back to ask them to keep my suitcase for a few hours so I could see the city of Boston before my flight departs the clerk told me that she cannot help me there. I did not argue with her, but asked who in the hotel could possibly help me. She then sent the so-called "security manager". He did not introduce himself - even after I did. Instead of letting me explain my situation he yelled at me (I really don't know why - it was simply a question that I know any other hotel would have been more than happy to help me out with) that once I am checked out I have to leave with my suitcase. Since this person made a mentally unstable impression to me so I tried to be careful. When I asked him what he would suggest where to park my suitcase for the day, he shrugged and shouted this was "not his problem". He then went on telling me that it was time for me to leave the hotel. I told him that I would call the police if he touched me. He did not then. I was more than happy to leave this hell as quickly as I could. I emphasize that I did not get loud or aggressive, at any point. Maybe I should have in order to catch the staff's attention. Anyway, the hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed in - all of this for a ridiculous rate of $422 per night. Recommendation to the hotel managers: If you really care about your customers and you really take this feedback seriously (which I do not expect after my stay with you) I would recommend firing the so-called "security manager". I cannot believe that any hotel would hire a bully like this. Collapse
