We booked this hotel because we wanted to enjoy a 4 star service in Miami beach. The service was not so great, in fact it was almost absent.. The room is spacious with a view on seaside, but since we were on the 5th floor we got to hear what looks like a aircon system from the Nobu hotel which made any balcony visit unbearable.. Complain to the front desk did not help as the hotel was full. We tried the breakfast buffet (83,72$ for 2 pers.) but again nothing special. One last thing is the location of the hotel, indeed rather far from the action which means using the free trolley from Miami (full at pick hours..) or Uber+Lyft.. Collapse

Nobu Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort is actually a hotel within a hotel. The historical Eden Roc hotel is one of Miami Beach's great emblems of Miami Modern architecture. The original tower of Eden Roc was erected in 1956 by the same designer as the one that designed the Fontainebleau Resort next door. The Eden Roc hotel expanded in 2008 with a second tower and has undergone another renaissance with the arrival of Nobu Hotel, a hotel-within-a-hotel concept which openned in October of 2016. Legendary Japanese Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has expanded his empire beyond dining in partnership with Academy Award winning actor Robert DeNiro to include a collection of sleek, culinary-driven hotels around the world. In Miami Beach, this meant the existing Nobu restaurant had to travel up Collins Avenue from its previous longtime home at the Shore Club and into a new luxuriously decorated Zen dining room at the Eden Roc. Occupying Eden Roc's original tower, Nobu Hotel's 206 rooms feature a silk cherry blossom accent wall, paper lantern, and natural materials including stone and wood. Guests of Nobu Hotel get exclusive perks including access to the Nobu pool in addition to the property's 3 other pools, room service by Nobu, Natura Bisse bath products, and 10 extra minutes automatically added to any spa service. The Eden Roc now occupies 418 rooms inside the more modern tower built in 2008, which is currently undergoing a redesign floor-by-floor to give them a more contemporary, updated look. The grounds of Eden Roc are really pretty. I really liked the modern adults only pool which was peaceful and quiet. While the pools were kinda small and could have been much larger like they are at many other Miami resorts, at least there were 3 different pools to choose from and plenty of comfy cabana options and padded lounge chairs in the pool area. The dual hot tubs featured waterfalls which were a really nice addition and i really liked how the hot tubs were different temperatures for those who wanted a mild heated water which you could hang out in longer versus the fully heated water which would warm you up way faster. The lobby bar had a very skilled live pianist and featured a complementary glass of proseco champagne but was otherwise a bit pricey. The breakfast buffet included with our booking was very nice. If you don't get the breakfast buffet included with your booking it goes for $29. The resort fee of $35 and valet fee of $48 is a bit higher than average for hotels but pretty average for the Miami Beach hotels. You can definitely save on parking by finding an alternate garage somewhere. The rooms were pretty large and the bathrooms were very modern featuring a full spa tub with jets along side a stand up shower allowing 2 different people to get ready at the same time if needed. The Nobu Eden Rocs proximity to the Liv Club at the Fountain bleu Resort is a great plus as well while still being more affordable than the Fountain bleu and offering a more boutique style experience with fancy dining and spa perks thanks to the Nobu additions. If you're looking to splurge book on the Nobu side for a more luxurious experience. If you're looking to save some dough, book on the Eden roc side as it will be close to half the price! Collapse

Will keep it brief, too crowded, convention style hotel, not luxury or even relaxing. Service was poor to say the least, most helpful were the maintenance folks who we had to call twice. If you need a drink, ice, help, expect to wait and wait. For the cost, you could find so many better places to stay. Not terrible, just not great either. I didn't use the spa but friends who did said it was nice, maybe try to book the spa as a room :) Collapse
