Purchased the package through wowcher with a spa package, evening meal and breakfast. The service was great all round, clean and spacious room, staff were friendly. Value for money and stunning views. I would recommend this hotel, the spa sits in the gym facilities and whilst it’s ok after a treatment it would be far more relaxing in a cosy environment. Collapse

Lovely hotel with stunning views of the Golf Course. Rooms are a good size and had everything we needed. Staff are friendly and helpful and we had a lovely stay. The food was lovely but not a wide range on the menu. Nothing I would ordinarily go for but couldn’t fault the flavour and presentation. Breakfast was perfect, great wide range and constantly being topped up with hot and fresh cooked options. Sausage and bacon seemed to be of a good quality too. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because of the spa, the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful but my problem lies with my endeavours to book treatments. I must have called and left messages about 10 times in the run up to my stay and even during and not once did I get a call back after leaving a message. I desperately wanted a treatment during my stay and couldn’t get booked in! When I questioned the lady on the desk said she was really busy and didn’t have time to check messages. Such a shame that they are so short staffed because this place is a good 5 star if my calls had been returned!! Collapse

A huge thank you to the staff at East Sussex National for a fantastic weekend. Their work behind the scenes made the annual Convention for Lions International District 105SE run very smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. As the husband of one of the organisers I know that the pre-event planning was very easy and over the weekend everything ran like clockwork making the covention a huge success. There was rousing agreement from the delgates attending that the East Sussex National Hotel was one of the best venues the Lions have used for their conventions and it is a venue that the Lions will return to in the future. Well done everyone at ESN. Collapse

My partner and I purchased the romantic getaway for our anniversary, and what a great anniversary it was. From the moment we walked through the door we were warmly greeted and told our room was already ready, even though it was an hour before official check in. After a quick and easy check in, we went straight to our room to find a very chilled bottle of prosecco, two bottles of still water and a welcome plate with three very tasty Belgium truffles (I wished we were supplied with more). The room was equipped with both a bath and a walk in shower, both very clean. A massive bed which was so comfy. The room had an extensive tea and coffee making facility, including a kettle, tea bags, hot chocolate, coffee granules and then an nespresso machine, my partner was over the moon, and 4 nespresso pods including the nespresso cups and saucers. This facility also came with some rather tasty biscuits. After unpacking we headed straight to the spa where included within the romantic getaway was a Rhassoul and a couples massage. The spa staff were very welcoming and both appointments were very satisfying. The spa and pool areas were very clean and well maintained. The only downside was there wasn’t enough mud supplied for the rhassoul (and I am very petite), a little bit more and we could have fully felt the benefits. We enjoyed lazing around the pool and in the jacuzzi, especially as there was only a handful of other people in the pool area, plenty of loungers to go round. Free coffee and tea were supplied in the spa area. In the evening we had a 3 course a la carte dinner included within the package. The menu was small but the food was adventurous but delicious. Would have been nicer if the smoked pork was warm rather than cold however the queens scallops and leak soup was delicious along with the chocolate dessert. We chose a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to drink alongside, and although pricy the wine was gorgeous. The serving staff were all polite, efficient and quick. Breakfast was also included and we decided to pay £4.50 to have it delivered to our room. This happened very promptly, and all the hot food was piping hot and the cold food still chilled. Pastry’s were also included which was a very nice bonus. It was the perfect ending to a lovely evening! This package was really good for the price we paid, would definitely recommend to anyone. Hopefully we will return soon! Collapse
