We stayed here the first week of May, 2018 for a vacation in Paris. This hotel is outstanding, rooms are stylish, extremely clean, and comfortable. We had a garden view room and it had comfortable and pleasant feel. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood surrounded by embassies and there is a nice park to walk in that is a half a block from the hotel. There are restaurants and bakeries within a five minute walk and all are off the main path of tourism. Yet, the hotel is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Arc du Triomphe. It is a mile walk to the Pont Alexandare, half hour walk to the Eiffel Tour, and a five minute walk to the metro. A taxi ride to the Louvre is 8 euros from the hotel. The hotel has a very nice sauna, steam room, and hot tub, and a well appointed fitness room. We didn't use the Spa Services, so I can't rate it, but did observe the spa staff to be professional. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and speak English and many other languages. As a matter of fact, almost everyone in Paris speaks English now and it is hard to keep a conversation going in French. The only drawback to the hotel is that the restaurant was very expensive in relation to the restaurants in the areas. The price we paid was $185 dollars (not euros) per night plus $47 dollars total for City hotel taxes for 8 nights. The clientele at the hotel is from all over the globe and a mix of business and tourists. The clientele are seasoned travelers. You can't go wrong with this hotel, especially if you are finicky about hotels. Collapse
Old decor and 10-minute elevator waits spoil the splashy luxe-hype

Overall a decent hotel in a great location but excessive number of staff running around and expensive marketing touches cannot make up for the old lobby and meeting room decor that begs for a modern upgrade and a terrible elevator situation (one out of service) and the buttons on either side work independently -- so at busy periods our group repeatedly waited 5 to 10 minutes which is unheard of even for basic hotels. The breakfast area was also overcrowded from a business group leaving many items not refreshed. The welcome and check-out also involved waiting a while, and at check-out I had further questions but the staff member was so distracted stapling and looking around that he simply did not listen. Positive factors included exceptionally good water pressure and hot water which is not always the case at Paris hotels. The guest room was small -- typical for Paris -- and uninspiring. Plugs by the bedside were difficult to access and required unplugging lamps -- not convenient for the smartphone generation. Overall -- a fine stay, but leaves a lot to improve if I were to return on my own budget for private travel. Collapse

This was our first trip to Paris and we chose this hotel for quality and proximity to the major sights in the city. We arrived early (8:30am) and had to wait for our room to be ready at the published 3:00pm time. After 10 hours of travel overnight it would have been nice if they provided a place to rest until our room was ready. I heard stories from other travelers to Paris from the US that some hotels do this. The room was not what we had originally reserved (which was a king but it had two twin beds and no separate shower) but it was on top floor with a nice view of the Eiffel Tower so this room was technically an upgrade. The hotel desk staff were very polite and accommodating during our stay. The room itself was nice and had decent storage and lightning and up to date plumbing. The room was also very quiet which was great for us adjusting to the time change and needing sleep. The daily service was inconsistent. Two times the maid took our in-room coffee mugs and did not replace them or the coffee packets. We even left a note in French and it wasn’t addressed until we called the front desk and they came right away and replaced our mugs and coffee. The breakfast buffet was good, staff very prompt and responsive, and the variety of breads, meats, juices, and cheese where plentiful. The omelette station was my favorite. The chafing dishes with the scrambled eggs was cold two days so I stuck with the omelette. The breakfast was in our room package price so it was a good deal. Separate the breakfast is 40 Euros which is very high but typical of European hotels. Overall we enjoyed our stay but with the varying service and relatively high cost we will stay in another hotel on our next trip to Paris. Collapse

My wife and two children stayed at this hotel for a 3 night break in February - we upgraded to a tower view room - and were welcomed with delicious Cake and a a bottle of Rothschild Champagne. Because we upgraded we had use of the executive lounge which was such a bonus, unlimited drinks and food at different times of the day saved us a fair bit in bar prices. Beds lovely and comfortable, staff attentive and friendly - door men very helpful with directions etc. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with an Art Deco feel which looked great. Close to Arc d triumph and metro stops. Highly recommended. Collapse
