Great service and food- try lobster roll and clam chowder. Limited location but still central. Rooms were on the nice side of average- living area not overly comfortable but bedroom was comfortable and good views.

As a previous guest of this hotel who had a good experience, I was looking forward to a pleasant return back. Three of my girlfriends (one being 8 months pregnant) and I reserved a room with a king bed and a pull out full sized couch for a one night stay. When we completed our reservation we indicated 4 adults would be staying in the room. Unfortunately upon our arrival we found that the pull out couch was simply a couch with no bed option. There was a sign in the room which indicated that if we were not satified, DoubleTree would make it right. We spoke with a hotel staff member to address our concerns and were informed that we needed to speak with a manager the next day but they could provide a cot for one of our guests for the evening. Two squeaky, uncomfortable cots would not fit in the room therefore one guest was forced to sleep on a couch. As a side note, the gentleman who brought us the cot was very polite. The next morning upon checking out we spoke with a manager who admitted fault on behalf of the hotel and informed us that the website had not been updated since the hotel had been renovated. Considering this is a large hotel chain with a designated marketing team, false advertising on their website is simply unacceptable. The manager informed us that he would comp one night of parking ($40) and would speak with his supervisor to see how else we could be compensated for our inconvenience. It has been 12 days since our departure and no one has reached out to our group. We are not unrealstic, demanding individuals rather guests who appreciate excellent customer service. It was disheartening to see Tony M.'s reponse comments to our group's review on this site, encouraging us to reach out to him if we would like to discuss this further, which comes off like a fake peace offering to look ameniable to those reading the reviews. Yes, we would certainly like to discuss this concern further which is why we approached management in a calm and professional manner twice and asked for management to follow up with us. As a frequent world traveler and conference organizer, I have enjoyed staying at Hilton properties as a Hilton Honors member and reserving Hilton properties for professional training courses, though due to the incorrect reservation options and subpar customer service, I will have to rethink staying with the chain. If traveling alone or with a guest you are willing to share a bed with the hotel is clean, spacious and fair value based on location. However, if traveling with more than 2 individuals or with someone who will not be sharing your bed, you will need multiple rooms. Collapse

Four of us stayed here for a concert we were attending. We were happy to find a place that advertised a king bed and sofa sleeper in other room. Unfortunately when we arrived in our room we discovered the sofa was not a sleeper after all. We brought it to the hotel's attention and the only thing they offered us was a small cot. It was extremely uncomfortable and cramped for 4 people. The next day we spoke to the manager and the only thing that was offered to us was a discount on parking. If I needed to stay in the area again I would look a different hotels that advertise correctly and compensate their customers accordingly. Collapse

There is a lot of space in the rooms. The rooms are clean and the view of the Charles river is breath taking. Great environment for family vacation. The staff made every effort to make your stay feel as if you are home.

When I booked this room through the hotel's website the description of the King suite was that it had a king bed in the bedroom & a separate seating area with a sofa sleeper. There were 4 people in our group which I listed on the reservation. Upon arrival I realized there was only a sofa, there was no bed hidden inside & we searched well! We didn't have time to speak with the front desk since we were going to a concert that night. When we returned after we spoke with the front desk & he offered us a cot. He said any other adjustments would have to be done by the manager. The cot was a very tight squeeze in the living area. And it was VERY LOUD which led to unsound sleep for the person sleeping on the couch & the one on the cot. In the morning the front desk agent offered free parking ($40) which was not much compensation for a room that was not up to par with what the website promised which led to an uncomfortable stay for our party. He said he'd bring the out of date website to the attention of the manager. I doubt we were the 1st party to encounter this problem as he stated the website has been out of date since renovations were made to the rooms & they no longer contained sleeper sofas. The hotel itself was very nice & in a convenient location. We were just underwhelmed at the experience and the lack of effort to make it right as was stated on a card in our room should we encounter any issues. Collapse
