I was afraid to stay seeing reviews. I booked though get a room. It had a better rate. I asked for a refrig and microwave. I realized that most rooms do not have that. I was in the outside room on the second floor. I was told since I had two reservations( I decided to add days at a later time) they could not guarantee I would get the refrig and microwave per the staff and get a room. It is only a request. I did not understand that. When I arrived they said if I take the room with the microwave and refrig I would have to move for the next few days. I said fine I would take the room and move. Since I had to get up early the next day I would bring my luggage to the front desk at 06 am. Well I went again to confirm my change in rooms and the front desk stated they could move the person in adjoining rooms to another set. I was able to stay in the same room I wanted. I found that very kind and good service. I was however by the bar with the pool and noisy till 12am. OK with me since I am a person that goes to bed late. If the noisy bothers you then you cannot stay near the bar/pool. Some people want to stay in the tower. I prefer the rooms with microwave and refrig. I think you have to see what is important to you. The room was clean and everything worked fine. I wish the garbage was bigger. The problem with the second and third floor outside door rooms is finding the elevator. There are rooms in blocks. You have to hunt for it. It does exist. For block of rooms 9 where I was 10 is where the elevators are located. I found other people pulling the luggage up the stairs like me. You do get the cookie and they are good at letting you getting more in the day if you go to the desk and ask. The breakfast buffet if you choose to get is is well done. We decided to have our own food to cut on cost. One day the computers were down and people at a conference were in line all day. I was lucky that I did not have that problem. I was able to find parking every night. I saw how it filled up but I never had the problem I see others had with conferences. I was told that if the parking is full the valet is free. However you would have to wait in line to have them park your car which is where I can see the line of cars others complained about. I found it convenient. You can walk out the back and walk to Sea World and avoid the Sea World parking fee. It is close to Discovery Cove and there you get free parking with your admission. International Drive is a long street that has many food places and entertainment. It was a perfect place to stay for what was planned for my trip. Collapse

We were only able to stay 3 nights. I booked a standard room. The room was nice. It was very clean and updated. However, it was very far from the lobby. It is a good walk if you need to go there. We went to Universal Studios, which is only a few miles away, on the first day. When we got back, our door keys wouldn't work. I trekked to the lobby to get new keys. I said something to the clerk about the long walk, and he upgraded me to a room in the new tower. This was even better. We were closer to the main pool as well. There are outdoor games like a pool table, ping pong, a giant checkerboard, and foosball. Though the foosball table was about to collapse. It needs to be replaced. They also projected a movie on a big screen by the pool. The breakfast buffet was slightly more expensive than expected. I recently stayed at the Doubletree Suites in Chicago, and it had a similar buffet, that was complimentary. However, the food was very good, and the service was also good. The price was the best part. It was half of the price of a Chicago hotel, and 1/3 the price of a Los Angeles hotel. I will not look for another hotel when we return to Orlando. This is my spot. I was surprised at this hotel, if you wanted to just get away coming to this place would be just enough as it has more then everything you need. The only issue is the wifi, the AT&T offered is horrible, service has issues
