Located near to the M6, large hotel with plenty of parking. Check-in was efficient and friendly. Room was a good size with bath, however what really let the hotel down was the quality of the bed it was very uncomfortable and creaked every time we moved, glad we only stayed one night. We reported this but were told they were in the process of being replaced, not much use to us. Evening meal was ok although choices on the set menu (particularly for for vegetarians) were limited. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice although sausages were poor quality and coffee wasn’t great. There is a small gym and pool, the pool can only accommodate 3 people swimming lengths. Collapse

Second review after few more visits to this hotel. Had improved experience at check in . However for this stay I was assigned to a room however soon found there is other people already in the room when I opened the door!! Double check in is something very serious in the hospitality industry. Upon checking out the emotionless girl offered ‘points’ for the incident but turns out there was only 1000. People do make mistakes but Hotel management should be ashamed themselves for offering such humiliating service recovery. I doublt I will ever return to this place again and I will inform my colleagues to avoid too. Collapse

Accommodation: We held a conference at the Hilton in June 2019. We booked a variety of bedrooms at the property as we had delegates, staff and colleagues staying. Unfortunately when I pulled the duvet down on my bed, I found a dirty old plaster ( clearly the room had not been cleaned to standard). The location of my bedroom also had terrible WIFI and was extremely hot, this was a common complaint from all delegates. Conference: The conference facilities are what you expect for a hotel, the AV tech was nice and friendly. The conference porter ( small blonde lady) really made my conference experience as she was so helpful, a real credit to the hotel, she clearly was overworked as she was rushing round. I would expect food labels to be provided at lunch time as a standard as we had allergies present. Staff: I found all the Reception staff to be extremely rude, except for one you lady who had long blonde hair. I asked one lady for a pair of scissors on the 2nd day of the conference ( 20th June, afternoon) she didn't respond to me, she gave me a dirty look and handed the pair of scissors over - the conference sponsor who requested the scissors was disgusted and I was highly embarrassed. When myself and my colleague was carrying in a large amount of boxes not one staff member offered assistance, I had to request a trolley ( from another rude member of staff). The gentleman who runs the restaurant ( long hair who previously worked at TGIS) was a refreshing breath of politeness and good customer service. Collapse

I’ve stayed here before and it’s definitely my preference when I need to go to Coventry. Staff are always friendly and helpful, room is nice clean and tidy and the food available on site has always been tasty. I was on Dinner Bed and Breakfast rate and the set menu included in dinner catered for everyone’s tastes. Breakfast was a wide selection of everything that you could want. The room was nice although I didn’t realise that I was in a twin room until I got to my room which was a bit disappointing. Overall though the stay was comfortable and ideal for my trip. I’ll just make sure I check about the room type next time. Collapse
