What a delightful experience. Food first class (mine was a dairy free request), polite and attentive staff. Beautiful setting on rivers edge watching the world go by . Definitely recommend and will go again

Diamond status is highly recognized. Breathtaking view suite. Brilliant staff. Excellent service. They are very professional, very helpful and very helpful. They made us feeling like our own home. This is the first choice in Cambridge.

We attended a special family event at this hotel and had booked our rooms a year earlier. At nearly £300 per room we were expecting a hotel room quality experience which should reflect ambiance of both the occasion and the Hilton brand. We needed a family room as our son is disabled and requires constant care. The family event was very good despite the early clearing away of glasses filled with drinks, but the experience of the hotel rooms was dreadful. Our first night room experience was so disappointing. The bed in the room was damaged and stuffing falling into the carpet. We were told there was no air conditioning yet on their own website they state they have ‘in room climate control (air conditioning)’ and ‘air conditioning’. The solution from Reception? A fan and advised to leave the patio door open to let in some air - so a noisy night! There was no mirror where you plug in your hairdryer - just a TV. The mirror at the side and in the dressing area - and no plug sockets - so no use if you are dressing for a special occasion. Additionally the complaints card was completed by the last guest who stayed there - and had not been collected by the hotel staff - and sadly that guest had also not had a happy experience. We complained and were moved to one of the refurbished rooms – air conditioning worked in this room. No bed set up for our son. So, had to leave the evening function, get that sorted, then when the evening was over at 12.30am retired to the room for a good night's sleep. Our son got into the camp bed for it to collapse. We fixed it and it collapsed again. Spoke to Reception and was moved to sleep in original type room with no air conditioning. For our discomfort, inconvenience and frankly putting our son's safety at risk we had a small reduction off the bill. However, I would rather have paid the full price and enjoyed a good night’s sleep and pampering on such a special occasion. The rest of my family stayed at the Premier Inn and Travel Lodge had a fantastic night’s sleep. Both were a £7.00 taxi ride from this hotel and Cambridge City Centre and both put this hotel’s bedroom guest experience to shame. If anyone is attending a special event then do not rely on this hotel to give you a 4 star bedroom experience. Even staying here for the Cambridge experience is not worthwhile - get a room elsewhere and go to the public bar area to sit next to the river. This hotel is a travesty of the Hilton brand, especially by showing their refurbished room on their Trip Advisor page which will not necessarily be the room that you will be allocated. Collapse

My Husband and I stopped here for lunch and sat at a table near the river. When they took the order I asked for the table to be cleaned and the waiter half heartedly rubbed the bird dirt about and left streaks all over the table. One of the food items was fries and they were served in a little basket which was set on the dirty table. Service was added automatically but was sadly lacking. Collapse
