The hotel is at a great location, but that is the only thing of note to write about, the restaurant staff in the evening were poor, from ordering our starter to receiving it was over half hour and our main was an hour later, the food was cold, uncooked and unappetising, our sweet took over half hour to come and was cold, I think the staff were just not good enough, some youngsters who did not care. We will not be going back, our room was ok but there was stains on the bed, the bathroom had no radiator so stayed misted up with wet towels, toilet holder broken. All in all not our best night away, shame as we often go down to the area and would have used it on a number of occasions if it had been ok. Collapse

Booked 2 rooms with prosecco, dinner and breakfast for the next day through Groupon, I was worried because of booking for other people and hoped they would like it, shouldn't have worried it was great from start to finish, Luke in the bar is a star! loved the food, loved the pool and sauna, staff were friendly even arranging sandwiches for us at silly o'clock in the bar!, We had a totally relaxing experience from start to finish, even tho there was a themed weekend being held, and a large wedding. Can't wait to go again! Collapse

Turned up early and was told we couldn't check in till 3 and couldn't leave our bags at the desk. I thought we were I for a tough time but everything else was great. A big thumbs up to Bethany who served a us in the bar. She was very busy but coped we and the pizza was fab. We had a room in the courtyard area. It was lovely and clean and the bathroom perfect but we did have some strange noises from the pipes. We mentioned it to management and Sally came and agreed to move us giving us a choice of 3 other great rooms. We chose room 301. Really big bed newly decorated and clean. We met family for dinner in the restaurant which was great. Used the pool and the gym all clean and tidy. Thanks to everyone e for making our stay memorable in a good way! Collapse

I had a great stay at the De Vere in Horewood. The grounds were lovely, and the beds were super comfortable. I came with my family of four, and we are looking forward to returning again at some point soon.

Stayed here on business and called ahead to see if I could check in early prior to a business meeting - they were very accommodating and allowed me to do so. Room was average, nice size TV. Didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar was quiet and relaxing although menu has changed since before Christmas and wasn't quite as much to choose from. Although the falafel burger was nice! Gym was small but had enough to do a short workout and pool was average size. Collapse

Stayed for one night in March and overall the hotel is good. Reasonably priced, good facilities, I particularly enjoyed the sauna, and a very good breakfast. The room I had was very small and could do with updating, there were signs of wear and tear and minor issues everywhere and the shower was more of a dribble than a shower but overall it was clean and suitable for what I needed. Had an evening meal in the bar, they also have a restaurant and it was pretty good. The grounds in which the hotel are set in are impressive as is the main building itself. I would stay again but I'd probably pay the extra for a better room. Collapse
