Nice interior, accommodating staff but NOISY. If you are in a room which is facing the runways, you feel like you're sleeping next to a runway. There is little sound proofing which a hotel this close to a major airport should have. If you're noise sensitive, stay away. If you have to be near the airport, the Hyatt and the Sheraton (on the same road) have better soundproofing. Collapse

I did not have to wait long for the complimentary shuttle at LAX airport even though it was close to midnight when I arrived. Check-in was prompt, and front desk (Miss Tornary?) was patient with everyone even though there was a line waiting to check-in. I was recognized as a IHG member and given a free drink voucher but did not accept since I was already very tired and had to check-out very early the next morning. Room was clean, and being on the high floor meant a good view of the area from the huge windows. Surprisingly, there was very minimal if any noise from the airport. Even though bed was comfortable and I was on the Quiet floor, I did not get a good night sleep as there appeared to be plumping issue where the commode was flushing itself or it may be from the room next door/above/below mine every few minutes throughout the entire night. If you're a transit airline passenger, meaning you're in LA for a short stay 1 day stay or you arrive one day and flight is in the morning next day. I recommend this hotel. Its 1/2 mile form LAX, shuttles run every 20 minutes or so, rooms are decent and good sized, service very good, price fair. To try to buck the non stop LA traffic on the 405 freeway, at any time of day or night, any day, you risk missing your flight. You have to have lived in So Cal, which I did for 30+ years, to understand the absolutely horrendous traffic, its mind numbing and a time killer. This is a good venue and you could walk to airport in a pinch. Collapse

This hotel can be an excellent bargain at times. I used Rewards Points but the price at the time was only about $100. There were a few problems. No one helped me with my bags when I exited the airport shuttle and I had three. The last reviewer states a problem this hotel seems to have. I was given a working key card to a room someone was already staying in. Because of this the front desk gave me a voucher for a free breakfast buffet. The rooms are updated and very nice. The mattress is one of the best I've ever slept on. The employees I came across were all helpful and pleasant. I received a timely reply to my e-mail about luggage storage. I left two suitcases for 5 days at a cost of $30. Much cheaper than taking them to my next destination where I didn't need them. The breakfast buffet was OK but don't pay for it. $25 would be way too much for what is offered. Only 7 hot offerings and the only eggs were scrambled. There is no eggs cooked to order. The hotel also has a small market/café open till midnight which is a nice feature if you don't want to go out walking around. When waiting for the airport shuttle at LAX you will be frustrated by how many times other hotel shuttles drive by waiting for the CP shuttle. Also, be carful as the CP shuttle is not clearly marked for CP. It does have a lit sign on the front above the windshield, Summing up, I would stay here again if the price was right or I was using points again. Collapse

This is the email I sent them and got no response: Dear all, Hope this email finds you well. I'd like to email you regarding my stay at your hotel on the night of the 14th of June. I was intruded twice once by an unknown person whom entered my room with a card and claimed it was their room (this was at 21.30hrs) , your manager only called me to tell me I would be given 'a complimentary drink', and a second time right after I went downstairs the next day, by your cleaning staff who didnt even knock and just went inside the room in the morning at 10 am. I am really disappointed with how things went in terms of security. I do want to mention that your reception staff was very kind. But, I called concierge that night I checked out to ask if my skateboard had been left in the hotel. He answered yes and I asked if there was any chance they could send it to this address 64________________Los Angeles, he laughed. I find this incredible for a hotel of your calibre. I have been to hundreds of hotels throughout my life and have never encountered such issues. Please get to me as soon as possible. I need my skateboard as it is part of my job. Thanks Kind regards, Carolina Collapse
