I’ve stayed at this property a few times over the years, generally the hotel is clean and well presented. The rooms are typical of a CP but the bathrooms are nothing to rave about. The location here is convenient and Eriki is an excellent restaurant. Like everywhere near London it’s on the side of expensive, but for such a busy hotel it is fine for an overnight stop. Collapse

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza overnight and left my car for 3 weeks. The car parking can be somewhat hectic, it gets packed. After parking in the front car park under a light for security reasons, On checking in I was then ask to move it to the Back of the Hotel, where there is another huge car park. I did ask about the security and was told that there was someone patrolling .although I never saw them. As already has been said the hotel is a little tired and could do with a facelift, but majority of people are using it as an overnight stop for the airport or getting into London. The rooms are reasonable and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. The Airport Hop on bus stops right outside reception..I chose to use a taxi to take me to Terminal 2 ( 2 people ) £10. Very good Collapse

In december 2018 my husband and I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, because we won a voucher for a 3 day-bus tour to London, that had this hotel as a base. Personally, we wouldn't have chosen this hotel on a sightseeing trip, because even though London City center is only 27 km from the hotel, it was an +/- 1 hour drive (one way) to get there, due to the heavy traffic. We stayed in room 1384, which was big, clean and comfortable, though a bit dark. There was a comfortable double bed, a minibar, a desk with coffee & tea making facilities and a flatscreen TV. Wifi was good. The bathroom had a combination bath/shower, with ample water pressure. Dinner on the first night was in the small Indian restaurant in the hotel. This was a total disappointment: it was a minibuffet with tasteless soup, Ceasar's salad, cold spaghetti and meatballs, undercooked lukewarm veggie lasagna and a cake; certainly not worth the money we paid for it. After complaints to our tour leader, we had our dinner on the second night in a separate (conference) room, where all the people of our group could be seated at the same time. This time the dishes at the buffet were warm, but also nothing special. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was excellent, with a good choice of tasty items. The second night we had some noice in the hallway from a bunch of drunken wedding guests who were shouting at each other at 4am., but this can happen in any hotel. So all in all, we had a reasonably good stay here, even though the location of the hotel is not ideal for citytrippers with limited time. Collapse
Convenient for LHR but bad dinner buffet.

Our flight was canceled and the airline put us in this hotel. The hotel is average with some outdated looks to it. We had a dinner voucher provided by the airline that was good for dinner buffet. While we arrived later at night but before the closing time of the restaurant, the buffet offerings were really limited and the food looked horrible. We asked if we could order from the menu and the answer was “no”. Rather than eating the horrible looking food, we got up and went next door to the Indian restaurant in the hotel. While we had to pay for that meal, it was much better and satisfying. For the shuttle to the airport, I tried to buy the tickets from the machine located in the lobby but the transaction would not go through with my US issued credit cards. The reception couldn’t help so we just ended up taking a taxi to the airport which actually just cost a little more than 3 tickets for the shuttle bus. Collapse
