This was our third time stating at this hotel, and the lobby/main area and top floor have been remodeled since our last visit. The main lobby and restaurant ha been remodeled with a much more modern décor than before, the restaurant is now a wine bar. The rooftop bar has been converted to a spa, which we did not visit. The hotel rooms appear unchanged from what I can tell, we went with the smaller of the king rooms this time and were a little sorry we did. It was very tight quarters and the bathroom was hard to even get in...had to navigate the toilet to close the door. I'd recommend the larger of the king rooms, a double queen room, or the suite. Also, our shower floor needed re-grouting...water would squeeze out from under the tile after showering. Staff was great and friendly. Collapse

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at La Concha, having not been to Key West before as a Spire IHG member we were thrilled to receive an upgrade. I know these are very rare these days and I heard that 40 Spire Members were staying (maybe IHG need to review their tiers and introduce higher levels again?). We met Robert the hotel manager and Lauren front of desk manager who both went the extra mile to make our stay even more enjoyable, especially as it was our wedding anniversary, we had wine, cheese & fruit waiting one evening. The room was a suite so very spacious with a corner sofa seating area in addition to the bedroom side, the only balconies are apparently 2nd floor over Duval St, our corner room view was on the side street and also pool view. This is not a traditional IHG hotel chain, it is more of a unique property which we like, the entrance, lobby and bar areas were all very crisp and modern. Location was ideal more towards the Mallory Square end which we preferred for dining, shops and bars, although it’s not much more than a mile to walk the entire length and the hotel runs a shuttle golf cart up and down. The valet parking is now part of the daily fee charged (depending when you booked) the majority of KW hotels now have this fee but in the UK as it is alien to us, we wonder why the room rate doesn’t just take this into account, anyway not an issue just for La Concha, more of an Island thing. The pool is shallow but a nice area and the pool bar had a good atmosphere, the only issue that couldn’t be helped and was just unlucky timing on our part, was that they were replacing the shutters over all hotel room windows which adds to the authentic appeal of the hotel, although was a bit noisy. But after the hurricane damage, this is completely understandable and we were so impressed how good the whole area is looking, we commend all involved as we were due to visit prior to the hurricane but had to change our plans so we were somewhat hesitant on what we might find, but shouldn’t have worried. Thanks for a great stay! Collapse

I can’t think of one good thing to say about this hotel considering the cost of over $300 for one night. Location is in the “louder” part of town, there is no signage so it hard to find parking. Atmosphere in the foyer is non existent, there is a bar (kind of) but no music at all it feels very uncomfortable and cold. There is no restaurant which is just strange. Breakfast is served behind the bar in the lobby. Nothing in the room to snack on, not even a mini bar. There is however a coffee tray in the bathroom. Yes in the bathroom! The rooms are dark and old, bathrooms dated with an old shower. The corridors in the hotel are dark too and just depressing. Brown and more brown. Pool area is ok from what I saw but I couldn’t bare to use it and stay any longer, The gym is not a gym it is a room with a 3 treadmills and two cross trainers, no space to train on the floor and no weights or equipment. Completely misled on this as it’s called a fitness centre. It is not. All the space has gone to the spa instead. I have to say this was a terrible hotel and one I couldn’t spare to spend a minute more than I had too. Check out couldn’t come quick enough. I have stayed in top notch hotels for this price and much better hotels for much less cost. Do yourselves a favour and head to a much quainter hotel in the old town. Collapse

(Below was submitted to,hotel 3 weeks ago, with no response) 1st at check-in I was not welcomed as an IHG rewards Platinum club member..at all..no mention,no bottle of water, nothing..highly unusual Ive stayed at property 1 other time..last time, we were upgraded to Hemmingway Suite..i believe it was called. This trip, our room, looking at parking lot, was very small. When i called to ask if there was a room on diff side of hall, I was told, all rooms face the parking lot..and this was best avail I know not all rooms can possibly face parking lot, and hence i also question that this was best avail room? Room wasn't serviced on Friday, we were gone from 9-11, & after abt 230..and then there was the power outage, which was poorly communicated to guests All in all, a very disappointing 'free stay' using 80K points..
