We have stayed here before flying from Gatwick several times previously and thought we would give it another go so that we could check in and use the spa. We had a bit of a problem at check in, we were given the key to our room but when we got there we found that somebody else was already in that room. we went back to reception and this was very quickly sorted out - great customer service. We were upgraded and also given a voucher for a drink in the bar. Room was lovely and hotel facilities good. However, the next morning somebody (probably maintenance or something) tried to access our room about 7am - good thing we had the security lock on. Then there was a lot of banging outside our room which we thought a bit unnecessary that early. The next problem was when we checked out - they had no record of us being in the room we had been allocated. not sure what had gone on with their booking system. I am not sure if we would stay again or not. Nice hotel but the reservation system has probably put us off. Collapse

My wife and I stayed he for a well needed rest and relax. So we were happy to pay extra to make it more of a treat. Unfortunately lots of little things spoilt our time here. We payed extra for a upgrade so we had access to the Club lounge which was poorly looked after when we went in there were no Cups to make Coffee, no milk in the coffee machine and no Snacks. After letting reception know cups were bought eventually but nothing was restocked. We then decided to try and get some lunch from bar what we wanted to order was off the menu and no replacement offered. Moving on to the spa, when using the jacuzzi we found it was freezing cold as they had a hose pumping cold water in! We paid £80 for a 25 minuet massage each. After coming out of treatment rooms my wife found she’d only been in there 10 minuets, mine was 20 minuets max. We complained about my wife’s massage being cut short and were told it was due to the therapists clock not working?! We were offered the other 15 minuets the following day at 11am. When my wife went to the appointment she was left waiting for half an hour to then be told this will only be 15 minuets, great costumer service! That evening we went to the hotels restaurant for dinner to find again that what we had chosen from the small menu was unavailable. We then went to the bar for an after dinner drink to be told they had no limes to make a mojito. When returning to our room we found the heating did not work. After complaining we were refunded the price of the upgrade but had spent time writing feedback leaving our details to get no response from management. All in all this was a disappointing stay. Went for four night stay as part of group. Tiny room although paid large single supplement. No lift to upper floor bedrooms and constant room key failure. Not a hotel for older or physically impaired due to steps and stairs. Awful food for group but… See more

So here we are again at Felbridge for an overnight stay before a short trip to Gatwick tomorrow morning. All the refurbed rooms are done so the place is so much better than before as was the Felbridge Hotel. Brighter, and all round a better finished place to stay. So what has happened so far? Meal: Great but the starter came out lukewarm and had to go back so it was at a better temperature and did not leave us with a feeling it had been sat there ages ago and just kept warm/cool. The bill arrived and not only did it include a 10% service charge but they also asked for a gratuity. For what????? Room: Really nice. However it seemed to take forever to arrive - so far away from reception and loads of steps. Such a long journey to get there. Each time we arrived in the room it was hot. Maybe a defauilt setting. We are currently on air con to get it right down. Reception: Oops we forgot toothpaste for the overnight stay. The bulk of stuff is in luggage in the car. Reception - can you help????? Answer - no we have none!! And you are Crowne Plaza!!!! You have such great staff, but I question who is making life easy for them to deliver Crowne Plaza standards Summary: Simply not good enough and as a seasoned traveller and IHG member say with confidence. you have some work to do here.
