We have stayed at this groups other hotel nearer the airport a few times, but that was fully booked, so transferred to this one. Absolutely no issues with this hotel either, on arrival the staff were friendly, efficient and had us up into the room within 10 minutes. The rooms are larger than most airport hotels, well equipped and with good fixtures and fittings, always very clean and well presented, with a modern theme. Beds are comfortable and as always we had a good nights sleep. We ate dinner in the restaurant rather than go wandering off into the shopping mall opposite, it’s good quality and not overpriced, but theres other restaurant facilities nearby, and a huge shopping centre if you get bored open till late. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Dublin Airport, so a quick transfer to and from if your using a taxi, and the hotel has plenty of free parking for guests if you have a hire car or your own. We would recommend this hotel, and its sister one a bit closer to the airport. Collapse

My husband is a full time wheelchair user and we travel with a hoist and shower chair, therefore we require an accessible very spacious room with roll in shower. My first contact with the Crown Plaza was with Julie in reservations who was extremely helpful and emailed me pictures of the room, this was fantastic as I was able to see if the room was suitable for our requirments. We booked in for 2 nights and found that the hotel was perfect for my husband, all areas were wheelchair friendly, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The room was just like the pictures we received, very modern, beautifully decorated, spotless, loads of space around and under the bed for using the hoist and getting around on the wheelchair. We were on the sixth floor with a lovely view...(a change from being at the back of other hotels facing a car park......which is the norm) the bathroom was spotless, the roll in shower was small but worked perfectly, the washhand basin was a bit small and itself and the toilet could be updated, but they were fine for our needs. As my husband does not always feel well enough to leave the room it was great to have enough space for his family to visit us in the room. The breakfast was lovely, with a great choice of food and we were given a table very suitable for my husbands wheelchair, we also had room service which was good, perhaps another dish as well as curry would be welcome after 10pm. There was accessible parking at the front of the hotel which suited us as our van is a bit too high for the underground carpark and a big thank you to Sean who helped us secure a place on Saturday. Overall the best Dublin hotel we have stayed in for our requirements and we are looking forward to returning in the near future. Collapse

On arrival I was met by a pleasant young lady who was very efficient in her work and very friendly. The bedrooms are of a good size and bright. A good size bar awaits you. The food is excellent. Well worth a visit. I will definitely return again.

My wife and I have visited the hotel on a couple of previous occasions and absolutely loved it. So much so that we brought our parents down on one occasion. They, also, were very impressed. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff are friendly. So, as we loved the hotel so much, we booked a night there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our location of choice. However, since our last visit my wife and I have both become vegetarians. We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant, only to be told on arrival that the restaurant was closed and we would have to eat in the bar - no real biggie. We arrived down to the bar for dinner and couldn’t see very much choice for vegetarians or vegans. So we asked the receptionist if there was a vegetarian menu. She didn’t know and directed us to the manager. We were encouraged when he said that the chef would make anything and there was ‘loads of choices for vegetarians’. So we took our seat in the bar and asked the server what the vegetarian choices were. He looked quite bemused and told us ‘curry’. When we told him that manager said that there was loads of choice he found himself going through the menu searching for something suitable for vegetarians. His solution was to suggest several meat options but without the meat. He subsequently left us to decide which ‘meatless meat option’ we wanted. Very disappointed we eventually opted for the wrap which we were told could be a vegetarian option. When it arrived, it was simply a beef/chicken wrap but without the beef/chicken. It was nice, but nothing special. I was even more disappointed when the bill arrived. It was the same price as the meat alternative even though the meat had been removed and replaced with a few extra slices of yellow pepper and onion. Our food experience left us with a bad taste. Not only was the vegetarian option very very poor, but the lack of knowledge of the staff was disappointing for a hotel of its calibre. We felt like a real afterthought which was disappointing as we were there to celebrate a special day for us. I have to say, unless the food aspect is improved I would doubt if I would return which is a shame as we loved every other aspect of the hotel. Collapse
