My husband and I have just returned from a week staying at Costa Sal and we had a brilliant time. It's in a great location, with two supermarkets and a large restaurant / bar complex close by (but not close enough you can hear it). The beach is five minutes walk away, but the two pools are more than enough too. There is a bus stop right outside the complex, which goes into PLC, as well as to the Teguise Market on Sunday. We got the bus into town, and then a taxi back each time. The location is also very close to the airport, and so only cost us €11 by taxi when we arrived. The staff are incredibly friendly, and all very helpful. The onsite shop is well stocked, and not too highly priced (although we bought most of our food from the local Spar). We ate at the onsite restaurant once for dinner and breakfast, and were a little disappointed with both. However we also had lunch and dessert there, and found these to be reasonably priced and great food. One thing we couldn't fault about the restaurant was the staff - every single one of them were approachable and kind. Before going on holiday we had planned one pool day, and expected to be out / by the beach for the rest, but the complex is so lovely, with great entertainment from John, that we ended up having three days on site. The only few niggles we had were that the aircon is only in the living room area, and so the bedrooms could become unbearable at night. Also, our room was only cleaned four of the seven days we stayed there, meaning towels weren't changed as often as we would have liked. These days seemed very random (as opposed to every other day). Finally, it may be useful to know that with Costa Sal being so close to the airport you do hear and see planes coming in constantly. After a while you get used to it as background noise, but it may not be the same for people who prefer a quieter atmosphere / have aversions to loud noises. All in all, a brilliant complex, and we shall definitely be returning! Collapse

Arrived here on 6th August check in was quick.we stayed in a superior room which was nice and clean. We had a bottle of water when we arrived in our room and we also given washing up liquid free. A nice touch was an iron and a large ironing board, also hair dryer and toaster. The beds are rock hard so not good for your back. Air con is fab only in lounge not in other bedroom but if you keep the door open it is fine. You also get tea towels but didn't use these as they smelt as if they'd been washed in chip fat. Never used the top pool too busy and noisey but the bottom pool was great. A good thing was that you couldn't put your towels down till 9-30 so you didnt have to get up at a stupid hour and just wait and wait. The life gaurd ay this pool was called Orlando, he couldn't speak any english but tried his best but was great. Also in the rooms are books that other guests have left so thats a bonus if you fancy something to read. All in all a good holiday except for a few niggles. Collapse

We stayed at Costa Sal from 5th to 12th August as a family with teenagers. We stayed here 2 years ago and really enjoyed it then so decided to go back. We had a 2 bedroomed superior apartment which was furnished to a lovely standard and was spotlessly clean. The grounds in the hotel are immaculate and the complex feels very secure. The reception staff , in particular Paulina , were extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate most nights in Zest restaurant. It was immaculately clean with a good menu and we had outstanding service from Sheena. She was super efficient and always had a smile on her face. We felt welcomed each evening and nothing was too much trouble. She really is an asset to Costa Sal and Zest. The only small negative is that on one occasion in the shop, a lady who was not wearing a name badge, was quite rude to us however luckily she is rare at Costa Sal but it's a shame all the same. We will plan to return again as it will be difficult to find somewhere that lives up to this standard. Well done Costa Sal and thank you! Collapse

We stayed in the fabulous Costa Sal from 29th July to 6th of August. It wasn't our first time staying here and it is like coming home to us. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming that you just relax once you check in. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was spotless, fully equipped and very spacious, with a huge balcony that had an amazing sea view. There are new beds in the apartments since our last stay which we found very comfy and another new addition was the free wifi which we found to work very well in the room and all over the complex. Our 2 children were thrilled to meet up with friends that they have made over the past few years and they had a great time. We spent our time at the small pool and despite some reviews talking about sunbed wars we always got beds down there and we usually didn't go down until about 10.30. A special mention has to go to the lifeguard at the small pool Orlando who did a great job, the kids had great fun with him while he made sure they were safe. He also tried to keep track of people leaving towels on beds and not coming back for hours. He is a great addition to the staff of the costa sal. The food in the restaurant is delicious as always and the fact that they have so many gluten free options is great for me as it's not always easy eating out being coeliac, many thanks to Jackie for looking after me. Lastly, huge thanks to Geraldine for looking after our booking and we look forward to our next stay. Collapse

My parents, 2 children and I stayed in a standard villa for 10 days from the 10th until the 20th of June this year. The villa was lovely. Very spacious and well equipped with a large private space to the front. Lovely and tranquil. The reception staff were very helpful as usual as we did need an extra bed (because of a snoring issue!!!) And it was sorted out by end of day. Very accommodating. We didn't use the restaurant but we did get takeaway pizza one evening and we were quite disappointed with it. I'm sure it was just the choice of food as the other food looked very appetising. It was always possible to get sunbeds but you would need to go early on good weather days. The first half of our holiday the weather was not great but it pocked up the second half. We also went.to Rancho Texas this year which was well worth the visit. All in all a lovely family holiday. Collapse
