Just spent Tuesday night at the station house. I didn't have a booking but phoned around 5pm spoke to Fiona who sorted a room even though they were exceptionally busy. On arrival we were met by Fiona who was so friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, spotlessly clean, all staff we met were most friendly especially one bar man who had a great sense of humour. Food, both breakfast and dinner were very good and not expensive although pints of coors were €5 a pint. The singer in the bar was a great entertainer I think Brian is his name. My only regret is that I couldn't get a second night there as they were fully booked, I can see why. Overall once again it was a brilliant one night stop and thank you so much to Fiona at reception and all staff for an enjoyable stay. We'll be back to use that voucher in October Collapse

I recently coordinated a family reunion at the Clifden Station House. I cannot say enough about the staff at Clifden Station. From my first interaction (and the numerous contacts that followed) with Sharon, I had a good feeling. When my husband and I arrived we were welcomed by Anne Marie, the amazing manager. Our 4th floor suite was lovely and comfortable. The staff: front desk - helpful, cheerful, friendly, amazing. The wait staff and bar tenders. Great. The housekeeping staff: Fantastic. The food: I absolutely love the seafood chowder. Was not topped in any other place we visited in Ireland, and I tried! The brown stout bread was delicious. I could live on that and the chowder. The Omey Suite was utilized for our dinner for 140 people. It was elegant. Chairs were covered, the family crests displayed on the tables (by the hotel staff), live flowers on every table. Looked elegant. We had a presentation in the theater and the staff was very helpful in getting it organized. We also used the theater for our family photo and one of the staff members graciously took one of the group photos so that our own family photographer could be in the picture. Perfect location for walking into town. Highly recommend the Clifden Station House for your next event or even your holiday. I should mention that some of the families stayed in the apartments attached and could not say enough about them. Lovely. Love the staff and we will be back. Collapse

We are a family of 5 and our kids are 6, 5, and almost 3. We stayed in the Station House apartments the week of the 8th of July. From the moment we arrived we were delighted. From being walked over to the apartment by a staff member to finding the lovely welcome pack and the following day the delicious scones, we were so impressed. The apartment was spotless and so comfortable. We felt right at home. We ate in the bar and our food was very tasty. The pool was a hit with our three and again so clean. The older two LOVED the kids club which was so well run. They had such fun with Kaelin and the other staff. I couldn't compliment them enough. Anne-Marie and all the staff we came across were so helpful and friendly. Thank you all for a most enjoyable week! Collapse
You do go for an extra mile.

Went for a few days with my family. Hotel staff are excellent and has a good idea of the place. The kids club is brilliant as they have different activities for the kids everyday and the food was excellent. A great place to stay when visiting Connemara as it is a walking distance to the town. Rooms are very well maintained by the staff. To sum it all up, we had a great time visiting Connemara. Collapse
