My wife and I have just stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and absolutely loved the place, with its stunning features and outdoor areas this place really has a lot going for it, and being only an hour ish from Calais it was so easy to get to. We had room 22 in the outbuildings and it was just perfect, we had a very comfy bed, loads of space and stunning views out of the window, we couldn't have asked for more. We ate in the restaurant and that was also very good quality. Overall we had a really lovely trip and look forward to going back to Chateau Clery in the near future, also a quick thanks to Celine and Valerie in particular for being so happy and helpful during our stay but tbh all the staff were so polite and helpful it was quite refreshing. Just returned from our stay. The Chateau is lovely. We had a room in the main house which was a good size. The bathroom was good too and had a bath with shower although you had to hold the shower attachment! The food was amazing. We ate from the 37€ menu and couldn’t fault it. I wasn’t expecting the food to be as good as it was. The weather was wonderful so made the most of the beautiful gardens by chilling with a lovely G&T. I would certainly return to the Chateau. We booked it 2 nights before arriving as fancied a short break away. The only negative is that there are no tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom so had to wait for my first cup of tea until breakfast. Collapse

Château Clery looks lovely from the outside and has very nice gardens where, weather permitting, you can sit with a drink from the bar. We stayed in one of the rooms in the main building which had 2 big windows, one overlooking the gardens (104). Room was fine, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with shower (no bath), but the room was a little shabby in places - wallpaper coming off, paint peeling off in the bathroom, sink a little chipped. There were no tea/coffee making facilities, but hotel did provide 2 bottles of Evian. All the staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We ate in the restaurant, and found the food to be OK, but not great. I had the sweetbreads, veal and cheese from the 49 Euro menu, and found the sweetbreads to be a bit salty and overcooked, but the rest was fine. My friend had the lamb from the 37 Euro menu, which he had to send back as it was too tough to cut/eat. To be fair it was changed immediately, and with no fuss, for a much better piece. The other two in our party had the salmon and scallops from the 37 Euro menu - which they declared was excellent. The wine list was good, and for the most part, reasonably priced, although I thought the champagne was a little expensive. The house champagne, Jacquart, was 65 Euros a bottle (18 Euros down the road in Leclerc), and the Rose Jacquart was 85 Euros !. Strangely both champagnes worked out cheaper by the glass than by the bottle (see photo of wine list). The buffet breakfast had a good selection with the usual pastries, fruit, yoghurt, etc, together with scrambled eggs and bacon. The little alcove where the food was a bit cramped if more than two people tried to serve themselves The Château is conveniently located off J28 of the A16, it is not signposted, but just take the turning at the traffic lights after you enter Hesdin-l'Abbe,and the château is on the right just before the T-Junction. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Collapse

Really enjoyed our stay in a superior room overlooking the rear gardens. We were not in the main house which was a little disappointing at first. The room was very spacious and clean. No tea and coffee facility which I find a strange thing to omit. Our room had no bath but a walk in shower wet room and the large bath towels were very small. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. There was plenty of parking. The evening meal was very good although the vegetarian option was limited. The breakfast was not included and was an additional cost but I liked what was on offer and the choice was varied. The reception staff were very polite and friendly and had a good understanding of English. Ideal location to visit Boulogne and Calais. Would definitely revommend and would visit again. Collapse

Stayed here for 2 nights recently and ate in the restaurant both evenings. Everything was superb. The food is Michelin star standard and the service is spot on. All the staff are attentive, friendly and very professional. We prefer to stay in the main house and the room at the top of the stairs is lovely with beautiful views over the garden. The setting is perfect and within easy reach of Boulogne, Calais, Le Touquet and everything in the Pas de Calais region. Collapse
