We stayed following the GAA match like many others, bar area was lovely and homely, food lovely although service let it down, no cutlery given before food was served....had to race around to feed my hungry toddler. The most disappointing thing was we requested to watch the Sunday game multiple times on rte which was refused due to three other guests who wished to watch a soccer game, once these guests left the bar we requested to put it on again and there was no problem, pretty poor when most of the guests were GAA followers..... Dinah was absolutley wonderful when booking could not do enough... Found unwanted hairs in bedding and bathroom.. Bins could be larger in bathroom for families.. Collapse

We stayed in this hotel for just a night. We met a very nice receptionist and she is very nice and pleasant. We got a family room and it was huge for just the 3 of us. Basic needs like toiletries, clean towels, hair dryer, iron, coffee and tea makers are provided. From our room I can see the Luas and my husband went downstairs with my son for a look around and he said it is near the hotel. As far as I know it goes to Dundrum and city centre. I had trouble to sleep that night but it's just me when I am not in my own bed. But my husband and my son, they had a good sleep. I am happy that the surroundings in the hotel is peaceful and quiet. The downside is the parking, they charge 10euros overnight. But for us it's ok as we are staying for a night and plus the cars are safe too. Hopefully they have discounted price for those staying longer (well maybe they do but not sure). So the next time we will be around Dublin again, we will stay here for sure. Collapse

I stayed in a family room with my Wife and daughters and found the room we stayed in to be well below what i'd expected. The decor was tired but okay but it was the bathroom that was rank, with extensive mould on the grout and selant and a leak from the ceiling when you used the shower. This leak had clearly been present for sometime as evidenced by the pink mould. The room was hot at night, despite it being a cool weekend, but the window could not be left open due to the noise from the street. There was no aircon or fans available. Aside from the state of the room, we had a quiet drink in the bar disrupted by a drunk non resident who fell off the stool he was trying to sit on, into the table we were sat at. The bar staff seemed concerned only with mopping up our spilt drinks and calming the friends of the inebriated non resident, as opposed to ascertaing if we were okay. Between the bathroom and the bar, a very negative impression formed. Collapse

The dinner was okay but not exceptional. Having held many business meetings in the hotel when it was Bewleys. it was disappointing in terms of service and quality. I was very surprised to find that since the hotel was taken over by the Clayton group they have introduced car parking charges although they have a grace period of 90 minutes before charges kick in.Over a period of 5 years when i held regular business dinner meetings in the hotel. i cannot ever recall a meeting lasting less than 90 minutes. Since the hotel was taken over by the Clayton group i also noticed an increase in dinner prices. I believe feedback is vital to any hotel be it positive or negative in order to improve their performance for their guests. The next day i made my views known to the Assistant General Manager.i must confess i found her response very dismissive although she did not say it, but it was more thats the way it is take it or leave it. If i ever had any doubts i dont now. In fairness to the hotel because i live in Dublin i have never had cause to stay in the hotel as a guest so i cannot comment on any other facilities they have to offer. Collapse
