Our family of 4 stayed here August 5-10th. We got a fantastic price. On arrival, the lobby was overflowing with people who were waiting to check in, but I didn't have to wait very long which was great. The room was average for a budget hotel, but they only gave us one room key, which wasn't very convenient. I set off the fire alarm trying to microwave a easy mac, which was annoying, but I just turned it off myself. We found a black widow in the lower corner of the room, which was a little weird. My husband took it outside so our 18month old wouldn't get hurt. On the third night we noticed little tiny ants in our room on the counters. It was irritating. They ruined our doughnuts. But it wasn't like there were cockroaches, so.... The beds were very comfortable, there wasn't hardly any noise at night even though we were facing the freeway. We had a view of the banana plantation and the fountain and lake. I wouldn't suggest paying to eat breakfast. We paid a few dollars more to get breakfast when we booked the hotel, and when we tried to use it, we were told we could only eat the cold breakfast, and we would have to pay extra for hot breakfast. The cold breakfast was toast, coffee, cereal, milk, juice, and oatmeal. That was it! We didn't return to eat breakfast again. This hotel is close to a bunch of places to eat! Sweet Tomato's, I hop, Perkins, Fuddruckers, TGI Fridays, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Tom + Chee, Buffalo Wild Wings, Firehouse Subs, Olive Garden, Denny's, Subway, just to name a few (There are more!) and you could walk to them no problem. Check out is at 11am, but housekeepers were opening the door at 9:45am. This happened 2 times before we actually checked out! Gotta tell the staff to knock and wait a minute before bursting in. The pool area was great. Kids really enjoyed the splash pad also. I got a fantastic deal on this hotel, so I could deal with all the little annoyances. This is defiantly a budget hotel. I would of been very unhappy had I have paid more though. Collapse

We had our doubts coming here, because it was either really great reviews or really bad ones. We stayed from 2-10 of Aug. We booked it through expedia at a really great price. Our first contact was with Ms. Nancy through a phone call in regards to room recommendations she was very friendly and helpful and based on her suggestions we requested and was given the Pool/Splash Zone view. This was a view receiving a lot of complaints but in our experience we had no trouble at all with noice. It was at a fair distance from the highway , it overlooks outlet premium mall and queen Mary Church. You might hear 1 or 2 cars but the room eliminates most of the sounds. Upon arrival F.D staff were very friendly and helpful and remained so throughout our stay. Check-in was quick. Because of the reviews we wanted to inspect the room prior to even entering and everything was clean and comfortable. Rooms were cleaned therally every day and soap, shampoo and conditioner replenished. We enjoyed the scenery and Pool/splash zone the first and last day. We tried the breakfast once and the diy mickey mouse pancakes were the best part. Good assortment but eggs were bland. But for $9,00 per adult and kids eat free it was reasonable. The security guards were very meticulous in their work it was great. We rented a car and the hotel gives you a sign indicating you are a guest which was very nice to see that not everyone can just come in although the neighborhood was quiet and tranquil. We were there specifically for Universal this time (4th visit) and it was a 17 or less minute Drive. We enjoyed our stay at the Clarion Inn at lake buena Vista, in comparison with other hotels we feel like we received more than we could have ever asked for and at a fraction of the cost. Great Value, Great Location, wonderful staff, my Family loved it! I would say try it for yourself and you Might get pleasantly surprised Collapse

We stayed for five nights in July, 2017. We had a room facing the parking lot and it was clean and comfortable. We had no trouble with noises at night and the beds were very comfortable. Room was cleaned daily, and was restocked. Having a mini fridge and microwave in the room was convenient. We ate the breakfast buffet, this was decent and Jill was very sweet to us. Be aware that there is a service fee (tip) built into your check there but the service we encountered was friendly and they did a great job so a few extra $$ is worth it. The hotel has a decently priced convenience store that is open late, we utilized this daily as we came back from the parks very late and hungry, because the restaurant was closed down by 10. The are marked as staying open until 11 some nights but they were shut down early both nights we tried to eat there after getting back so it was nice to have the store with cold drinks and snack foods. They had a large tour group staying there (apparently this is commonplace for the area in July) and because of this, we were unable to get seated at the buffet, TWICE. IMO this is unacceptable. The woman at the desk flat out told us no, there was no more seating available and that they were about to close. Meanwhile, over 20 people are still eating and enjoying the buffet right in front of us and they were not due to close for 15 more minutes. The shuttle to the parks is available, but the times are less than optimal, so have a rental car or use Uber/Lyft. You can also walk to some restaurants and stores within 15 minutes, again if you need food between 7a-10p. If you want to eat late, you'd better eat before you get back to the area. The pool was great! Perfect temp, lots of chairs and shade and towels are provided. It was so nice to cool down and relax on the days we didn't go to the parks. All in all, it was a great stay, we would stay there again and would recommend this hotel to anyone in the Disney area who needs a convenient and comfortable hotel while on a budget. Collapse

If you want a place to get you to local parks, places to eat etc. Then this hotel is fine. However please note it is not the best: - We found a large area of carpet next to a bed was saturated with something. Resolved by a large hot air blower! Lucky we were out for most of the day. - not very clean: blood one the floor, dirty toilet & shower. - bedding changed once in two weeks. - beds very small. - roof work taking place so be up before 7 pm. - WIFI poor. - air con really noisy, really! Otherwise a very good location. Collapse

Perfect location and comfortable stay for the price paid. Clean, welcoming and friendly hotel - the little extras made a difference; coffee maker, fridge, microwave etc. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning was extremely efficient. Wifi wasn't fantastic but hey - we're on holiday, who needs it really?! Didn't use the restaurant and the road noise from the I4 running parallel was only noticeable on the one pool day we had, but we didn't let it spoil our fun! Go with an open mind - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend and return. Collapse
