I definitely booked this hotel for the price, especially since it was so close to Disneyland. Though, red flags went up as soon as we checked in when we were told that we had to pay $14 a day for parking. Really?! We were very shocked about that, though the gentleman checking us in said that he could "give us a deal" and make it only $5 a day if we signed up for the choice hotels newsletter things. We did, only because we wanted to save a little bit of money on the parking. We were told we were going to be on the 9th floor, which is the very top, on the newly renovated floor. Trust me, it didn't look like much of a renovation. When we got to our room, we were actually appalled to see the job that had been done. There was still brick in the room, where it looked like it used to be a patio and they just extended the room itself. The furniture looked like something out of the seventies. The television was small with blurry views, and the microwave was something you could find at Goodwill. Considering we were at Disneyland during most of the days anyway, it wasn't too bad, but the two nights that we were in the mood to just hang out in the room for the evening, we didn't feel like we were getting what we paid for. It got to the point where we were looking for other hotels to check into, but decided it wasn't worth it since we would be leaving shortly. The walls are very thin. Every morning we could hear the family with two kids next to us (in which the kids were being yelled at or disciplined), which was something we definitely didn't care to hear at 7am. The staff is amazing and all, which was great, but the room itself was pretty terrible. The bathroom was definitely not apart of that "renovation" as the work done on it was practically non existent. The shower's water pressure was insanely low, and definitely not one that you would expect to be using in a hotel you are paying $110 a night for. We did try out the breakfast our first morning, the continental breakfast was a joke. My husband attempted to grab some bacon and eggs, but was stopped and told he could only get fruit. Which was honeydew melon and canteloupe. I did get pancakes and the bacon and eggs, which was way overpriced. Our total came out to about $39, which was very disappointing considering my husband could only eat the fruit! The Hilton is directy across the street from this place, so I 100% recommend speding the extra $20 a day to stay there. Like I said, the staff was great, very kind and attentive, but the standards of this hotel are definitely not what you would expect for what you are paying. We will not be back to stay at the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort. Collapse
Not a good value

About one mile from the entrance to Disneyland and just a block from the Anaheim Convention Center, the Clarion has a good location, it's clean and the bed is comfortable. The decor and furnishings are cheap, dated and a bit worn around the edges. The room included a mini-fridge (but no microwave) and a small safe (for which they will automatically charge you a $1.50/day unless you tell them you didn't use it). There is a pool and an on-site restaurant but I tried neither. The wi-fi is free and works well. They were surprisingly strict about the 4PM check-in. I showed up a little after 3:30 and was given a stern lecture by the clerk that check-in was not until 4. She did still let me check in but was a bit snippy about it. As others have noted, despite what your GPS tells you, the hotel entrance is off Harbor Boulevard just across Convention Way; you can't access it from Convention Way because it's a one-way driveway. Parking was $14/day. While my stay here was largely fine, I also didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hotel. I chose it because I got a good deal at the time ($108/night), and it was within walking distance of Disneyland. At that price (or under), I would stay here again but I wouldn't pay more than that. There are a lot of other choices nearby. Collapse

The entrance to the self parking lot was off Harbor, not Convention Way, though the hotel frontage is on Convention Way. Other than having to ask directions once, stellar trip. The room was a suite, with microwave and fridge, and a sofa that folds out for those traveling with kids. All the comforts, including a large, comfortable bed, and it was very quiet. Arrived Tuesday afternoon, left Thursday morning. Wednesday morning, walked the 2.5 blocks (approx. 1 mile) to the security check at Downtown Disney, though there is a shuttle that goes directly to Downtown Disney. Spent the day at Disneyland Hotel check in was quick and easy. There was a gift shop with something Disneyland doesn't have: postcards! Other things Disney related were much less expensive than at the park. There is a restaurant off the lobby. I didn't partake. After a long day at Disneyland, it was a pleasure to come back to the hotel, shower, and lounge. I'd definitely stay here again! Much less expensive than the Disney Hotels, and has several restaurants within walking distance on Katella. Thumbs up for this hotel! Collapse

About a mile from Disneyland park, this resort is beautiful! My daughter, grandson 10 years old and granddaughter 14 and myself spent a week June 2017. A gift shop on the first floor is stocked with lots of ( souveniers although we walked down the street and found much less expensive ones in Walgreens or CVS or a little store close by.) The housekeeping was excellent and the laundry room is very convenient when you have kids. It cost $2 to wash and the same to dry a load of clothes. We got a great price through Getawaytoday tours and we even got the breakfast buffet for free. The original cost is $14 per person and kids eat free. The buffet Is amazing with fresh fruit of every variety every morning, delicious crepes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cereal, juices, tea coffee, toast, eggs,, anything you can imagine and it is wonderful. (hope you are not on a diet because this food is amazing!) They don't skimp on breakfast one bit. The swimming pool is lovely if you have time to use it, and there is a lounge downstairs for the adults or after hours to relax in. The beds in the room were very comfortable and the room is cozy and quiet and clean and a microwave is included in the room . We would definitely stay here again and are planning another trip next summer for this resort. The ART bus which takes you to Disneyland and around the area is only $5 per day and the concierge will sell you tickets for that bus which stops in front of the hotel or to any other attraction in the Disney area. He is very nice and personable. The area is very nice and a lighted path from the Clarion to Disneyland so if you want to stay at the park until closing at midnight you can walk back to the resort and feel pretty safe in that huge city. Many people walk or there is the ART bus. This is a wonderful place to stay for a Disney vacation! Collapse
