Just home from one of the best weekends ever! My friend took me here on the Groupon deal. Wow! Value for money. On arrival greeted by friendly informative young lady on reception. Chrcked in 10 mins earlier. Got to room which was a little dated but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Room 35. Side of the hotel with partial sea views. We went off walking/ beach etc then returned to cool off in the spa/ swimming pool. Fantastic little pool with jacuzzi sauna and steam room. After getting ready for evening meal we were seated and served the 2 course groupon meal. Nice food and lovely staff. The bar is nice as is the seating area etc. Barman Alex was very nice. A credit to the hotel. Made us welcome and catered to our requests with professional attitude. The entertainment was fun. Singers that we missed as opera not our thing. Followed by a disco with Aldini the deejay. Laugh a minute!! He played all our choooons. Breakfast was great. Full english cereal etc the usual. Nicely cooked. Lovely staff again. All in all its the staff here that make you feel like you matter. Will definitely stay again soon. Collapse

I bought this 1 night break including dinner & breakfast as a gift for my husband. To say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, is an understatement.. The room was very dated, dirty & the view was a brick wall. The TV had a terrible reception , couldn't even get ITV. There were cracks in the walls, bare screws just hanging out of the wall, dirty marks on the walls , the wardrobe consisted of a old style built in cupboard that was dirty. There were dirty marks on the drawers and no headboard. The bathroom was small with a 1960's shower that was either too cold or way too hot..A plastic medicine cabinet adorned the cracked walls and there was no blind or curtains at the window. The dinning room was a little better but the menu was limited to 3 choices all of which were a million miles away from fine dining, we opted for the gammon, which was cold & the service wasn't much warmer. I found it very uncomfortable how the Groupon guests were segregated from the other diners & the offer of a full menu was not available to us. I will never stay here again & I strongly recommend you don't if your reading this review before deciding to book. The ONLY positive comment I can make is the view from the front of the hotel was stunning & I this bad experience wont sto p me from visiting Lytham again . Collapse

Looking forward to afternoon tea which was a birthday present. Things didn't start well with a rude and totally uninterested member of staff at reception. Her attitude was so bad a couple stood behind us commented how bad her customer service had been. There was no waitress service or menu and you had to order your food and beverages at the bar, where a young and very helpful man was serving alone. We had clear dirty crockery from our table and nobody came to wipe down the table. The food arrived and was appalling!! Two tiny finger sandwiches each, two slices of chocolate roll, two scones (which were cold and a little stale and only enough jam for one person) and two chocolate truffles. We didn't complain at the time but telephoned the duty manager when we arrived home and offered him our feedback. He didn't sound too interested in my comments, but did apologise for our experience. Speaking to friends later, they had been for the same Groupon deal and had a very similar experience with the staff and food. Save your money and go elsewhere to a hotel that cares and provides better quality food and customer service. Collapse

We found thius Hotel quite nice as stayed here before first time in room 57 but the window was blanked out so no light other than turning on the light even in the daytime. We went again and got a nice room but on the Monday night on going down for a bar meal rather than going out in the rain each item we asked for we were told we have ran out that, in the end we ended up going out for a meal after all Looks like who ever does the orders on the food needs a little more training !!!
