We stayed for 2 nights with another couple and just checked out today and this was the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. My partner has stayed twice before in the serviced apartments and wanted to come back for his birthday weekend. We checked into room 129 and the tiles around the toilet were wet and a big long hair right on the floor. He cleaned that himself and later realised the leak was coming from the radiator so placed the tea cup under neath it. This radiator is in the bathroom. We had dinner in mulligans , food was good and service from Flora excellent. The next day was awful. Loud noise from the pipes woke us up at 6:30am and banging continued for 15 mins and we fell back asleep. Housekeeping woke us up at 9:30am trying to service the room- sorry but clean your departures first before servicing stayovers. We are here on leisure and don't appreciate being woken up again. Why would you clean a room so early??? Breakfast was ok nothing special. Came back later to room and housekeeper did nothing about leak in bathroom and we had an empty water jug and iron and ironing board which we thought she would have removed but didn't. Also the cup being used for the radiator wasn't replaced when she was servicing the room. We had dinner with our package and went up at 8:15 last night and the restaurant was half empty. We were sat at the table right by the door, which was fine at the time. Little did we realise that every few minutes people would be going in and out , in and out nonstop!! Children were up there and it just didn't stop. We were freezing and it was a very unpleasant dining experience. I told the awful waiter I have a lactose intolerance and didn't feel confident when I was asking him to make sure nothing was cooked with butter or cream. We had to change table after our mains and for desert I ordered jam log. It came out and turned out to be a cake slice thick with cream!!!! I was furious. Is it not his job to advise me that it's full of cream after I relayed my dietary information on to him?? He never came back to check up on us and I didn't touch it, we got up and left after the others finished their dessert. At this stage I wanted to just leave and not have drinks in the bar. I went and spoke to a DM at the front desk and he was very nice and apologised and got me a desert with a cup of tea and organised drinks for us but to be honest something more should have been done as this birthday weekend was ruined. Also we ordered steaks for dinner that had a supplement, the waiter never brought us a bill to sign but yet on check out this morning sure enough the supplement was Charged!!!! And then breakfast this morning- 10 min wait for a table. The worst thing is, we are coming back in August for a week to Killarney and we're looking into booking the serviced apartments but after this disaster of a weekend we will never be back. The only good thing was the view from the room and mulligans and the wonderful Flora. Collapse

We traveled with another family couple and stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. We chose it for proximity to Killarney and The Ring of Kerry (highly recommend you travel the entire ring as it's gorgeous and amazing views; be sure to hike Torc Waterfalls). Great location. The grounds and walking/running trails were absolutely wonderful and relatively close to Ross Castle. If you like golf perhaps a good place for you. There is an on-site bar and separate restaurant. The views during breakfast and dinner were lovely as you could see the lake. Breakfast was €10/day and quite good. We ate dinner one night at the hotel and it was average and cost €50/couple and decently bottle of wine cost us €26. The hotel has an on-site spa and hair styling place. The lobby/common areas are ok. The rooms are dated and decent sized with a full size bed. However the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. It is a spread out facility so plan on walking a distance to your room. The staff were professional and pleasant. Our stay for 2 nights cost us €268. Collapse

We stayed as a party of 46 for a birthday celebration and I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they were absolutely fantastic and ensured our stay was one to remember. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and all public areas are spotless. We ate in the restaurant and the bar, all food was delicious and staff efficient and attentive. The grounds and views are spectacular and the location is well placed to be close to anything you wish to do. I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Killarney. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful weekend. Collapse
