Just returned from a 5 night stay at this property. My kids (age 13 and 10) loved it. The rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel has a beautiful pool with a slide and jacuzzis. There is a splash pool for smaller kids. Arcade/Basketball and Tennis courts. That all being said, this by no means is a place filled with screaming unruly kids. Very relaxing atmosphere. We booked during the spring promotion which gave us a good deal on the room (every second night was 1/2 price) and a food and beverage credit for each day--plus they waived the resort fee. We used the credit and ate room service a few times...which was delicious. There is a coffee /frozen yogurt bar in tower 2 which is also very convenient. The ONLY drawback to the entire stay is that if you are doing Disney...and driving yourself there is a lot of traffic due to a large amount of construction at WDW. (no fault of the hotel, of course! and they do offer shuttles if you aren't driving yourself. ) A really really nice place for a family. Kids are already begging to go back. Collapse

All in all, this Hotel is a great looking Hotel, nice looking lobby, restaurants, 24 hour Cafe and plenty of room around the pool area. Has a good Gym and two video arcades as well as Pool table, table tennis around the pool bar. The pool bar, Calypso is very well decorated, food is great and has three Big screens behind the bar to watch your choice of sports. They also have a live Musician who plays requests from mid-day to night. However, if your looking for the usual bigger rooms that Orlando has to offer with a nice Kitchen, separate bedrooms, a balcony and big whirlpool bath then this isn't for you. Rooms are average British hotel rooms. The Hotel also needs to look at its service... the ticket desk for park attractions has been given to "Expedia local expert" who don't inform you that the other staff standing next to them work for "Club Wyndham" and most of the time don't wear name badges. They promise you discounted tickets and fail to mention that you have to attend a timeshare promo "breakfast" first. Look up these people before you talk to them as a refund for tickets you don't receive is a taxi ride a few miles away. Why this hotel lets another hotel group to sell in their hotel is beyond me and the duty manager wasn't much help. If you rely on shuttles to parks, which Expedia sell, these are unreliable on turning up at all. Hotel staff, rarely smile and when you ask for something it's like talking to a blank expression( apart from the bell stand who are great). Nice Hotel, poor service, but very clean and presentable. Great maid service and big rooms

The maids were great and friendly, but did not speak English. The villas were big and had a great kitchen. Overall very clean rooms. I would stay there again next time I'm in Orlando for business. I also the loved cafe 24 in the lobby.

We spent a week in a 2 bedroom villa in building 7 at Caribe Royale Orlando beginning July 28 for our daughter's 16th birthday. When we arrived it was overwhelming. Being disabled I wasn't too impressed with the location of our unit because it was the last building at the far end of the property, as far away from the lobby as you can get but it was quiet and I had my disability parking permit so except for that Friday night we could get a close spot. The unit was large with 2 full bathrooms, a king bed and two queen beds, 3 flat screen TVs (2 didn't work until we fooled around with one and had to call maintenance for the other) perhaps it would be a good idea for the TV connections to be checked between guests. There was also a full kitchen and a laundry room. The maid kept taking the dish cloth and not replacing it so I would use a face cloth so that would disappear and not be replaced. It got to be a game. Only the last day did a dish cloth reappear. No fear, there is a dishwasher but we only used it twice as we didn't have that many dishes. The clothes washer broke during our visit and I was allowed to use the next unit's room, with supervision, to spin the load that was in progress. I was told all laundry units are original and are being replaced in January. I love having laundry on vacation though so having access is much better than not having them at all. There is a safe in the main bedroom closet but it is very low so I could not use it. Good job my daughter did a double check after my husband said it was empty as there were items left at the very back so a warning to others...double check! The dining area has a breakfast bar with 3 bar height stools and a dining table with 4 chairs. The living room has a full sofa and a comfortable chair. The deck has a small table and two chairs. There is a lazy boy type chair in the bedroom. The masterbed is so high that I could not get into it without the help of the stool that was supposed to be in the makeup area. Even then it was a humiliating event every night to get me into bed. But once in I slept very well. I slept better than at home! There is a pool for the use of the villas so we never made it to the large main pool since it was a full .75 mile walk and I just can't do that. So anytime we went to the lobby to mail a postcard or go to the shop we had to drive. I saw near the end of our visit that there were scooters at the front door which would have made my visit much more enjoyable but I was never made aware of them or found information about renting them. Since the lobby was so far away and the schedule to Disney so limited (the first bus back from the parks was after 6:00) it was impossible for me to use. We booked because of the included local transportation but I just couldn't get to/from the bus (at the lobby) or stay at the parks that long. So we had to drive the rental car and pay Disney parking. The hotel is close to many attractions: outlet shopping, Disney, Sea World, Universal, Gatorland...... We were never lacking activities. Many restaurants in the area too. Because we had to drive to the lobby we never stopped to eat at any of the hotel restaurants we just continued out of the property. Collapse
