Never having been to Italy I was unsure of any hotels but wanted a hotel with a pool considering the heat. I cannot fault this hotel, rooms were very clean, modern fixtures fittings and staff couldn't be more helpful. We often walked to the nearest metro line but it might be too steep for more elderly people however the hotel offer a first class shuttle service to the metro. I was so taken by Rome and the accommodation that I have been looking for deals in September for this hotel having only returned home yesterday. Collapse

A 4 night stay in Rome was made all the more special from having stayed here. I booked the hotel based on a recommendation by a friend. Right from the start everything was excellent. I contacted the hotel to organise transport from the airport. Sara sorted it out and couldn't have been more helpful. The car cost €50 and considering the heat was a bargain. We checked in to what we thought would be a family room 2 double beds but ended up with 2 connecting rooms which worked out brilliantly. And at no extra cost. Room was spacious, plenty of storage space, nice bathroom the usual soaps, shampoos etc. Mini bar was well stocked but we emptied it and put out water etc in. Air con worked well. Safe in the room, TV in each which we didn't use. There was a samsung tablet you could use for browsing, facebook, youtube etc at no cost. Breakfast was the usual fare, cold meats, cheese, scrambled or boiled eggs, rashers. Plenty of fruit. 3 cereals, cornflakes muesli and coco-pops. We didn't eat in the hotel for dinner. Loads of bread and treats. Perfect to set you up for the day and was never too busy to be uncomfortable. Pool was great, outdoors, plenty of beds, and umbrellas, bar at the pool, towels provided. Fuss ball table close by. Rooftop garden area, loads of seats, 3 Jacuzzis (1 wasn't working when we were there) and a great view of St Peters. Check out at 11, no fuss and we were able to leave our bags and use the pool until we left for the hotel. Note there is a tax charge of €6 per adult per night. There a couple of nice pizza places within walking distance. There's also a bus stop close by which will get you to most of the main attractions. Do note the bus/metro tickets are available to buy from the local tobacco shops but they sell out quickly so buy them early in the morning regardless of the time you plan to use them. And there's no timetable, we were waiting 45 mins for the 916 to the Trevi Fountain. Can't fault the place and find it hard to believe it's got 3 from some travellers. Yes its not very close to the main tourist attractions but sure you check that before you book. €10 to the Vatican in a taxi €25 to the Flavian Amphitheatre and €45 to the airport. Fantastic helpful friendly staff. Really great place to stay and I'd recommend it again. Collapse

We stayed for 4 nights after a trip to Tuscany. My third visit to Rome, but first to Cardinal St Peter. We found the Hotel no problem and the pool and roof top hot tubs were a welcome relief from the heatwave gripping Rome during our visit. We mainly walked to the Metro Line A from the hotel (be warned it is up and down hill both ways) to get into Rome, a few stops and you are at the Vactican and then into central Rome. We also caught a bus, which was packed and even 2 Nuns were pushing to get on!! We did have a hire car and as we have driven in Rome before we drove in and parked a couple of evenings near Ponte Sisto, if you park where there are blue lines you will need to pay in the parking metre. We had connecting rooms and the beds were comfy and bathrooms fine. The breakfast was ok. There are a few points that need DIY attention, but the staff were pleasant, good air conditioning and clean. The area surrounding the Hotel is not the most up-market, but we did not feel unsafe at all walking back from the Metro Station. Collapse
It's ok but could be a whole lot better

We were in a rush to find somewhere to stay in Rome at very last minute after we were broken into our Airbnb accommodation outside Rome. This hotel was easy to book and find. It's a large hotel, near the centre, parking is free and most of the staff have been very helpful. On the negative side, the rooms have a bit of a smell, the swimming pool is quite small especially as it gets quite crowded, the breakfast was terrible. We chose this place as it said a very good breakfast on the booking site. The breakfast and the staff in the breakfast area were far from very good. The coffee out of the machine was disgusting. Our shower has not worked and it flooded the room. I asked for this to be repaired but nothing was done. The place is dog friendly but only in the room. Our dogs aren't allowed at the pool, which is a shame. We have been to other pet friendly places and have been allowed to be in common areas with them. All in all,it's a 4 star due to its size and location but not its quality or price. Collapse

Firstly, location is not good! Area surrounding the hotel feels dodgy and not at all nice. About 1 km walk to the subway. The hotel looked nothing like in the photos, however their rooftop terrace was nice. Staff was helpful, but didn't go beyond regarding recommendation and information. Pool area was ok, just ok. Restaurant at nighttime was overpriced, not at all worth the money. The menu looked good but what you got was a different thing. I would not come back here. Collapse
