The Caravel Hotel is an elegant four star facility of Sant'Agnello, an enchanting centre close to Sorrento. The name of the village is inspired to the Patron Saint, Sant'Agnello, to whom the festivity of the 14th of December is dedicated.
The Caravel Hotel is the ideal solution for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday at the sea: in few minutes, walking for about 200 meters, it is possible to reach the Sant'Agnello small beach of Marinella. Immersed in the green, surrounded by a typical Sorrento garden, with a swimming pool, a panoramic solarium. A well equipped and very good restaurant with bar, the four star Caravel Hotel in Sant'Agnello provides a good alternative to all those who wish to relax and avoid the summer chaos typical of the main tourist centres.
Another good reason to choose to spend a pleasant holiday in Sorrento, while staying in one of the quietest and most relaxing centres in the Sorrento Coast, is the very good quality/price ratio which has characterized the commercial policy of the hotel for years: you will be accommodated in cosy rooms with any comfort at really favourable prices.
Shuttle service into Sorrento city centre is included in the price.

We have recently returned from a weeks stay at this lovely hotel. We had a fantastic room with balcony and views over the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius. The hotel was clean and well furnished throughout. The pool was just the right size with more than enough recliners. All the staff at this hotel could not have been more helpful, the majority spoke excellent English. The bar staff were friendly but respectful. The reception staff efficent and courteous. The restaurant was excellent with well trained staff under the watchful eye of the charming Angelo. We would definitely stay again. Collapse

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Hotel Caravel and can only agree with previous comments. The staff at this hotel are all very attentive and welcoming. Our room was at the front of the hotel with views of garden, pool and just a glimpse of the sea. It's was very clean. We also had a balcony, this was very small, but useful for drying towels etc. We rented a kettle for the week (4 euros a day). This included tea, coffee, milk and sugar, which was replenished daily. So nice to enjoy a cuppa in our room. There were also charging points at each side of bed, so handy if you take your iPad - just don't forget your cable! Food was lovely with plentry of choice. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Collapse

Stayed here for a week in July / August. Restaurant staff really helpful especially with gluten free diet. Restaurant runs like clockwork with amazing leadership from Angelo and Pino. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolute credit to all. Food was varied and being half board worked well for us. Reception staff helpful as well. Some of management team not as friendly as they could be and could learn from their staff! Our room was lovely at the back of hotel with mountain views. This suited us as we could sit on the balcony in the morning sun before going to the great pool in the afternoon. Amazing feel to hotel - a perfect relaxation holiday. The location worked well for us with the option of going to Sorrento. Sant Agnello was worth an explore too with lovely local produce. We would like to return and would highly recommend. Collapse

We recently stayed at this hotel with family and friends as we were visiting for a wedding. There were 8 of us with 3 rooms age range 15months - 60 and we all had a great stay. The rooms were all different some with balconies and some without. Were spacious enough and very clean. The air con in the room was great and a safe for free use. The breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice. We stayed half board so also had dinner included and adult meals and child's meals were superb. Any reviews about bad food must be extremely fussy eaters or just completely unhappy people. The pool and area around was very clean it was quite small but we never had any issues getting sun beds. The walk into sorrento was a good 20mins so the courtesy bus was great to use. We had 2 buggies and the pavement around the hotel had a tree or lamp post every 2 metres or so so wasn't ideal. From sorrento square to hotel caravel in a taxi was around 20 euros. Would highly recommend this hotel as a good place to stay and eat. Collapse

Desperately wanted to go to Italy for years and this year we finally went. Beautiful, beautiful place. After what felt like months looking at hotels, we finally chose Hotel Caravel ❤️ This is a four star hotel but personally, due to the friendliness of the staff alone, this should be five stars! Where do I start..... the hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk from the very beautiful Sorrento itself. It's situated within a residential area, as are 99% of the hotels in the area. The pool is lovely with plenty of sun beds but if your a sun worshipper like me then you do have to move to the other side of the pool to catch the sun, this is only later on in the day but there were always plenty of beds available to do this. The pool is cold but only briefly, once you are in it's gorgeous and with the heat of the sun, you'll be glad you did. Pool and surrounding area is immaculate and you get access from 9am to 7.30pm and no issues with rude travellers reserving beds which was appreciated. There is an outdoor seating area which is lovely to sit around day or night; a couple of seating areas for lunch or grabbing a coffee or a drink in between the sun. There are also a couple of roof top areas for sunbathing or watching the beautiful scenery across the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.... stunning. We had a triple room which was absolutely fine, albeit the third bed was a couch with the cushions removed and made into a bed! which was fine, your not in your room for long..... why would you want to be anyway when your in Italy. There is a fridge in the room which is stocked. We removed the contents and put our own juice and water in which was great. There is also key coded safe and there was no charge for using this. Hangers provided in wardrobe for your clothes and plenty of toiletries to use if you need to with a hairdryer in the bathroom. We only had one socket in our room which was a bit of a nightmare as they had a beautiful huge mirror but we couldn't use it for straighteners or curling wands as our cables weren't long enough - a wee tip....... bring a long extension cable. The restaurant is huge with a large seating area outside and upon arrival you are made to feel very welcome. Please note that there is a preferred dress code for dining in the evening, it's preferred for gents to wear trousers to the evening meal. My husband brought linen trousers which was fine as he wore these to dinner then changed into his three quarter length shorts afterwards - you won't get refused entry, but it is preferred and courteous to the hotel as they note this at the bottom of their menus! We were half board which was new to us this year. Breakfast was a banquet consisting of tea; coffee; hot chocolate; an array of fresh fruit juices cereals; toast; fresh bread; fruit; yoghurts; cakes; biscuits; pastries; jams; sausage (more like hot dogs); bacon; sausage and eggs. Dinner had a choice of 5 starters, 5 mains and 5 deserts. Prior to your starter you also get to fill a plate with salads and an array of other small appetisers and fresh bread. You are able to charge your drinks to your room, whether it's at dinner or any other time if the day/night which you pay on leaving. The only tiny negative I have and it's my personal view is the lunches need a bit of work but we fed this back to the Manager who was grateful for the feedback and assures me he would look into this ........ again, it's a tiny negative only to highlight again to the hotel. This is not a fast pace hotel in the respect that it's more geared for couples and at the time we visited it was mainly occupied by adults aged 40 years and above. There was another family there with a small child in a high chair so families do stay. This was not a problem for us as we preferred it quiet with the pool area peaceful but if your looking for a hotel with kids clubs, water slides and pool activities then this is not the hotel for you. If your looking for a peaceful tranquil time away in the sun then this is ideally the hotel you could ever wish for. A special mention to the staff, in particular the restaurant staff, they went above and beyond our expectations. A true credit to the hotel. Truly amazing. When visiting Sorrento again, which we will most definitely not hesitate to return to Hotel Caravel, highly recommend. Collapse
