Just spent 10 wonderful days at the club maspalomas hotel complex. For a cheap BA holiday it's one of the best we've had. The little bungalows are spaced around the complex only sleeping four, 3 in the bed room (one double one single) and one on the sofa in the lounge. We had 3 bungalows for the large family of 10, they placed them all next to each other for us. Each bungalow was cleaned and towels changed every other day, bed sheets changed twice a week. They give you the option to eat at the restaurant every day at an additional cost, the food was great with a huge variety. If you fancy a pool day you can order food from the pool bar to eat around the pool too. The pools are very clean with a life guard on duty every day, the life guards were helpful helping us find a sunshade when we were too hot. Most of the staff spoke English and were again very polite and helpful. The hotel has a 24hr reception which came in handy when a member of our family was taken ill, the guys at reception ordered a taxi to take us to the hospital and explained what was wrong, they were reassuring in our hour of need. They also have free bus down to the beaches and the yumbo shopping centre, but a taxi in the evening will only cost you 4€ there and back. All I have is praise for the staff at this hotel, we will definitely be visiting again. Collapse

This resort is fantastic. Very clean and safe and so quiet is was lovely. Bungalows are small even to try and prep food but is expected from the description. We loved the locality of ours as near enough to the pool but by the volleyball/basketball court which our children loved playing by. The pool area was as lovely, very clean, no scrabble for sunbeds first thing and very attentive lifeguards especially the lady who was very aware of who was who and even found us a sunbed when we'd just got back from the beach. Shop was reasonably priced for locality. We didn't go AI but ate in the restaurant on the last night and the food was a good variety and nice enough. The Brownie was amazing. Our only negative about our holiday and it's through no fault of the accommodation was the area, when people previously described it as quiet they weren't talking just about the hotel but the area. Even with holiday world near there was not enough anywhere for us for the evening. No clusters of shops/restaurants/children's entertainment. We went to both maspalomas and playa de ingles and for us there wasn't enough going on. I'd love to come back to this resort but only if the area improved as there is potential. Collapse

We went as a family of 7. 6 adults 1 child, we had 3 bungalows very close together. Accommodation was brilliant, we were very happy with them. The grounds were equally as impressive. We had a fantastic time here, staff helpful and friendly. Good shuttle bus service from the resort to Maspolomas Beach and Playa de Ingles. Great place for family's and couples. We will be back next year. Thank you Club Bungalows for a fantastic holiday. Collapse

We returned from an 11 Day holiday at Bungalows Club Maspalomas yesterday. We pre-booked our taxi with Suntranfers online for our arrival and departure, this was brilliant absolutely no problems. As soon as we walked into the complex at nearly 11pm after an 4.5 hour flight, the man on Reception was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We were directed to our bungalow, given our key, TV remote, safe key and air conditioning controller (the safe key, air conditioning and TV remote incurred a 20 Euro refundable deposit). Information regarding the bungalows, facilities were also given to us as well as the free WiFi passwords. Our bungalow was directly opposite the volleyball court (Number 106) and was lovely, we had a lounge area, kitchenette, breakfast bar with three chairs, bathroom (half size bath and over bath shower) and bedroom (one double and one single). The lounge area doesn't have air conditioning, most likely because people would leave the patio doors open, making it useless but the bedroom has air conditioning. The patio area outside had a table, four chairs and two sun beds, an outside light and a washing line (bring your own pegs!). The first morning we had breakfast in the restaurant, which was buffet style and paid for at Reception - good variety and delicious. The pool area is lovely, two bigger pools plus a children's pool - plenty of sun beds and parasols (although some guests do 'reserve' them by putting towels down even though it's not allowed). The pools are not overly deep, but perfect for jumping into and swimming (not deep enough for diving). There is a children's playground, where our 6 year old enjoyed playing (early evening is better as not much shade). We did see the tennis courts (two, both hard court I think) but didn't use them. A lot of children and some adults used the volleyball court opposite our bungalow early evening, when it was cooler. I would advise that if you have babies or very young children to ask for a bungalow away from the volleyball court and pool area, as it can be noiser. Our 6 year old son slept, so it wasn't an issue for us but it might be if a child is a light sleeper. We used the restaurant for a buffet style evening meal one night too, which again had a good variety and was nice. Breakfast was 9 Euros per adult and 4.50 Euros for children, evening meal was 15 Euros for adults and 7.50 Euros for children (evening meal drinks charged for separately). The free bus run by the complex was brilliant, we used it a lot and a timetable is given to you upon arrival. Taxi's are cheap 4.35 Euros one way into Plays de Ingles, which we used a few times. There is a supermarket Hiper Dino Express close by at the Faro 2 Shopping complex, about a 10 minute walk from the bungalows. Faro 2 is pretty deserted, most of it has closed (due to structural issues) apart from the supermarket, bike hire shop, tourist shop, clothes shop, two bars to the front, one restaurant to the front and two restaurants to the back. The restaurants at the back were fabulous, really lovely food - highly recommend. There are a couple of eateries at Holiday World and in the opposite direction to Faro 2. You can walk to Maspalomas Beach, it's about a 25 minutes away, but in the heat you probably would use the free bus, evening stroll is the perfect time. Maspalomas Beach is stunning, sunbeds/parasols are charged for to hire and to use the toilet facilities it's 66 cents. There are restaurants that are really lovely too. We went into Melonaros/Maspalomas centre, which is up market with several shopping centres of varying size - mainly jewellers, perfume, high end fashion etc. Not many places to eat, so head back to the sea front. Plays de Ingles is OK, plenty of places to eat, gorgeous beach but built up and full of shops selling fake designer items (be aware that if you purchase fake designer items and are stopped at customs, the items will be confiscated and you could get into trouble - it's counterfeit and illegal!). We much preferred Maspalomas, which is quieter and far nicer. We went to Aqualand and Palmitos Park (purchase your tickets online prior to your holiday, the tickets can be used up to 90 days from purchase date), you go straight in without queuing. Eating at both is expensive. A taxi to Aqualand was 14.50 Euros return from the bungalows, and don't bother getting a bus to Palmitos Park (unless low season) as they are always full and don't put enough on. A taxi both ways from Holiday World approximately 29 Euros in total. Be prepared to pay 4 Euros per sun bed at Aqualand too. Holiday World is fabulous for children, good value for money. Reception at the bungalows helped us organise a hire car for the day, we went to Puerto de Mogan, which is beautiful and Puerto Rico. We didn't like Puerto Rico, very hilly and nothing but bars, karaoke pubs etc. For information the bungalow complex is run by two separate entities Bungalows Club Maspalomas and Canary Garden Club, guests can use all facilities regardless of which they are staying with. Bungalows Club Maspalomas are responsible for: one large pool, children's pool, tennis court, volleyball court and mini market. Canary Garden Club are responsible for: one large pool, pool side snack bar, restaurant, children's playground, pool side toilet facilities, laundry room and massage. Both share a Reception area with two separate desks and staff. In all we had an amazing holiday, the bungalow was the perfect size for the three of us and we would have no hesitation in coming back again. Collapse

Stayed in one of the superior bungalows end of July for 1 week . Clean & tidy , plenty of storage . Could not fault towel change , cleaning , provision of toiletries etc . Lovely walk in shower , power shower & wall mounted shower head - ideal for little ones . Ideally situated for us - away from Playa del Ingles & Maspalomas - taxi ride approx. 4 euros . Free shuttle bus to / from beach three times daily . A word of warning - the sand does get exceptionally hot even to walk on in shoes so go prepared ! Plenty of choice for restaurants / bars in both resorts . Were self catering & did not sample restaurant food but pool bar drinks & food is good & reasonably priced . Happy hour twice daily which is popular . Staff all friendly & helpful . Barbecue night excellent value for money , some entertainment some nights but cant comment as we preferred to go out in the evenings . Lovely pool area - had no problem getting sun loungers or parasols , plenty of space . Only criticism is that air con in bungalow is only in the bedroom & with a sofa bed in the living area it is unbearably hot . Beds are larger than singles so managed to fit three of us - adult , 17 yr old & 13 yr old . In summary , this is lovely accommodation as a base to explore . Would definitely recommend & would return Collapse
