Second time at this hotel - this time opted for double room (for single occupancy) to get a bit more room. Minimal provision, but all perfectly acceptable and keen price. Breakfast predictable but fine.

This hotel is situated only a 10 min walk from the main Montpanesse metro station and is therefore convenient for all attractions. The hotel advertises a bar however in reality this appears to be a few drinks behind the reception desk, however the staff are pleasant and friendly and speak English. The rooms are however small along with the bathrooms which have a toilet shower and i believe some have baths. I understand the bathrooms are currently being upgraded. The hotel does serve breakfast french style and not what you would expect at an English or US hotel and is expensive at about €10 each. Due to the small room sizes the beds are small however i am 6ft 2 tall (188cm)and and managed without too much effort to stretch out on the bed which my wife and I found very comfortable. There are tea and coffee making facilities and a Tv though naturally only French channels are available with the exception of Int CNN. The rooms are cleaned daily to a good standard and despite being small are comfortable. It should be noted that this hotel is on a busy rd and some traffic noise may be heard in some rooms. Overall a decent hotel of its type great for short breaks to Paris Collapse

3 night stay between Christmas and new year. Convenient location between two metro lines and bus stop outside the hotel. If you want large bedrooms don't go to Paris but these are small, very clean and comfortable with small but adequate bathroom. Breakfast is very good with fresh coffee, hot croissants, juices, cereals, breads, cheese, cakes and fruit. Would have been 5 stars but a whole day without any water so unable to wash, shower, flush the toilet or make a cup of tea or coffee. No recompense whatsoever. Collapse

The Hotel: It is perfect for those who are in Paris to explore as this room has what you need, a bed, a TV, storage space and a bathroom! We had a room at the back so although there was not anything spectacular to look at, It was actually quite nice as there are pretty little apartments and cobble paths connecting the streets. I cannot make any comment on the breakfast as we did not want to spend 10 euros each day so we bought things from the shop down the road! Although it did look nice and fresh! Travel: We flew in to Charles De Gaulle airport and followed the airport signs to the trains (The signs are in English) and are very clear so don't panic! Metro/Trains: We went to an information desk (Red desk in the airport) and the gentleman was really helpful, he gave us a detailed map of the metro system and we said our hotel name/ Area where we were staying and he circled the trains/metro we needed to use to get there, we paid for our return tickets to/from the airport here. Tip: I used Bing maps to see the directions from the airport to the hotel and it says the main stations that you need to get on and off at. Sight seeing: We mainly walked to what we wanted to look at but the metro is close by to use. I would recommend the Catacombs! It is a good day out and there is also some good restaurants nearby. Things to watch out for: Be careful around the Eiffel Tower as there are lots of scammers and lucky lucky men trying to sell you things that are loads cheaper at the stalls! Best thing I can advise is to not look at the lucky lucky men and keep walking and say just say no if they hassle you. Also avoid anyone with clipboards as they are trying to get you to sign a 'petition' and then they ask for your money! Any men with newspapers, also try and stay clear, as two men tried covering my bumbag with their papers, I think they were trying to unzip it and using the paper to conceal this from me. Overall, the hotel was perfectly tidy and well situated on the outskirts of the bustling centre, the surroundings are good to explore and my trip to Paris was awesome! Collapse
