Bitacora Club Lanzarote has it all. Less than a 10 minute walk to the old town with its large selection of bars and restaurants, all centred around the harbour (only about 6 minutes walk to the Biosfera Shopping Centre, home to Zara, Mango and many more shops!) Less than 10 mins walk to the sea. Yet the area is quiet, and you can escape the hustle and bustle of the resort, yet pop down and join in on the atmosphere if the mood takes you! Lanzarote is an impressive island full of contrasts, with astonishing volcanic landscapes, big beaches and small coves of white, golden or dark sand.
We have 85 one bed apartments laid out over 2 floors (ground and upper). All apartments come with a separate bedroom, with 2 single beds. Bathroom with bath and shower connection. The kitchen is equipped with a 2 ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge. There is a sofa bed to sleep a 3rd person in the lounge. TV in all apartments with English channels including RTE 1 and RTE 2, so you don’t have to miss your favourite TV programmes while on holiday. All apartments have a terrace or balcony with tables and chairs. All Rooms Include Satellite TV
Set beneath a range of steep hills on the south coast of Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen is the island’s major holiday resort. Its main feature is a spectacular two-mile (3km) golden beach, which is backed by a main road, The Strip, where shops, bars and restaurants of every variety can be found. The Old Town retains some of its old world charm, and is home to some of the best fish restaurants on the island. The resort of Puerto del Carmen offers entertainment for all ages. It is the centre of the Lanzarote’s nightlife and is within easy distance of all the island’s key attractions.

We arrived here about 9.30pm,reception was closed but a note outside told us to go to the on site supermarket for our key & the code to open the security gate. We'd booked a one bedroom superior apt on the ground floor, which we got room 137. First impressions of the apt were good until we saw the 3 notices on the breakfast bar with all the rules & regulations stating what we could & couldn't do. There was a main living room with a desk, coffee table & a large flat screen television, you could get BBC news channel also sky news. The sofa was a pull out double bed. We had a patio at the front on which there was hardly any sun through the day,it looked out onto a grit garden with a high wall adorned with a greenery fence & a mangy looking palm tree. The bedroom was really spacious ,it had a double wardrobe with 6 hangers in each, twin beds which were so hard I never got a decent nights sleep, had backache all fortnight. There was a full length mirror,a nice touch. The bathroom was also spacious as it was adapted for wheelchair access, the toilet had bars at the side to help you to get up off the toilet, the shower was good & hot,my only complaint was there was no shelf to put toiletries on in the shower, there were grab rails which were useful. No bath mat. As shower was slippy & I'm disabled I had to have my husband near at hand whilst taking a shower.A word of warning all loo paper & sanitary products have to be put in a bin at the side of the toilet,on asking why was told the pipes are old so the system will not take the above mentioned stuff. We go to Greece every year & are used to putting paper in toilet bin but they empty the said bins every day,the ones in Bitacora were only emptied every 3 days, cleaning done every 3 days ,towels changed every 3 days, bedding was clean to go into, then was changed only once more in 2 weeks. The biggest bugbear for me was Smoking being allowed. It stated in bold letters Bitacora was a NO SMOKING HOTEL,except in designated areas ,these being right outside reception ,the terrace in front of reception & approx 2 rows on the pool terrace. I had this out with the manager as I have asthma & there is no other way out of the hotel except through reception or via the security gate both where smoking is allowed. I was told anyone caught smoking outside the designated areas would get a warning & if this persisted they would be reported to whom I have no idea.We were there 2 weeks & never once was anyone stopped from smoking wherever they wished.Reception was only open 9am to 1pm then 4pm to 9pm whilst we were there,so staff had no idea what was going on into the night. Just returned from staying 10 days. If you want a basic very clean one bed apartment this is great. You had two single beds pushed together in main bedroom. With a double sofa in living area. Bathroom was very clean. Kitchen area, fridge. Quiet a steep hill to the shops, bars and the beach. But you do have Lidl, and little shops 5 min walk. Collapse
