The room I received was not what I asked for. Since I am a Platinum Premier, I was a bit shocked but did not say anything. Marriott is going the way of all companies and loyalty means very little, apparently. The hotel was very expensive for everything. Although the staff is wonderful both in the restaurant and bar. Overall, the hotel was very average. Collapse

At 10:00PM eastern last night I received 5 fraud alerts fro, this hotel trying to get temp authorization. And moments later my wife called saying the credit card was declined. This was the beginning of the inconveniences. She figured a solution at the desk. But there was no one to help with bags. No one made an inquiry if she needed help. And when she asked if there were help she was told it was, "not so far: the elevators are off in the back." She mentioned that she was part of the wedding group staying there and there was no recognition. In the room, the heat did not work, that took multiple calls and was not resolved until today. Also my wife called to have a dress be picked to be dry cleaned which took two calls and as of this writing was not complete. She was out of her room for several hours and came back to a room not touched by housekeeping even though she has the request up. So my wife has been cold, tired, worried about her clothes, and concerned about having to choreograph where to be when her room is cleaned. She was not expecting the Beverly Wiltshire but gracious, interested and efficient Marriott service. Anyhow, she is there a few more nights. Only way to go is up. Collapse

We (2 adults and 2 small kiddos) returned to stay here for 1 Saturday night since we were attending a friend's party in the area. We did notice some modest improvements this time around. Our check in was very quick as we were given a room on the 7th floor with 2 double beds, and we had access to the Lounge given our elite status. The room was fine, and our kids liked the built-in couch along the window. Yet, it seemed tight, particularly the entryway as they have an open wardrobe. Also, the bathroom is quite small, and we didn't like the sliding door entry as lights, noises, etc. escape even when fully closed. The lounge seemed cleaner and better stocked with a wider selection of beverages than last time. The breakfast quality, while average, seemed to have improved as well. Also, the valets were very quick in bringing our car up when asked. Collapse

The Beverly Hills Marriott is a well located hotel with friendly, helpful staff and a great attitude. We had three nights with breakfast included and found it to be v comfortable. The wifi was free, staff responded immediately to a request for a blanket and a couple more pillows and the room was cleaned v promptly each morning. The buffet breakfast was sufficient - not a huge array of choices but lots of delicious fresh fruit, smoked salmon and two types of scrambled eggs. The doormen were a credit to the place as were the front desk and bar staff. Rodeo Drive was about. 10-15 minutes walk away and there were shops and public transport even closer by. I wouldn’t hesitate to book there again. A four star hotel punching well above its weight! Collapse

Overall, this hotel was a fine establishment that I felt comfortable and relaxed in after our busy days sightseeing. Check in was easy even though we arrived really early (before noon). Our room had two double beds and was roomy enough for three adults and 2 large suitcases. The beds were comfortable (down feather pillows). The room was clean enough and the maid service was always prompt and provided continuous stock of towels (although some were slightly stained). Parking is valet only you must call down for your car, but the valet men are generally very prompt and always friendly. Major tourist sites are all within 30 minutes drive and particularly Hollywood is about 15 minute drive. Easy drive to Santa Monica, Venice, Vasquez Rocks. Not a lot within walking distance from the hotel though, must have a car, except the great Factor's famous deli (went multiple times, delicious quick food, although very busy on Sundays). The major cons though, one: bathrooms! The door to the bathroom is a slider and there is no way to actually "shut" the door, there is always gaps so noise, light, and odors escape very easily, it's basically as if there is no door. second con, our room had an adjoining room door and the noise from our neighbours was very loud. The side without the adjoining door was fine didn't hear a peep but the adjoining room side could hear every word of their conversations unfortunately. Perhaps the door just needs better insulation around it. Additionally, not sure if this is just because our room faced the pool area, but the pool area plays music from early in the morning to about 10 pm at night, which you can hear from the room. Unfortunately for my light sleeper this wasn't ideal but if you're with those who can sleep through noise it's probably not that bad. Otherwise, good hotel, decent price. Would stay again for a similar or better price. Collapse
