Yes, the hotel is a bit tired, but it is very clean and comfortable and the staff cannot do enough for you, especially Daniel on Reception who was very informative and helpful answering all our requests and advising us on places to visit etc, Thankyou Daniel. We have to thank Vanessa in the main restaurant for breakfast, who was always friendly, smiling and very polite and accommodating. The hotel is very near bus stops and horse drawn trams which take you to all connections for ongoing destinations, and the hotel is opposite the beach. We had a sea view room which was a good size, with comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the food that we had in the main restaurant, the bar and the Chinese restaurant were all very good and value for money. Collapse

An unimpressive entrance sets the tone for the rest of the hotel. On arrival to our room we could here very loud music from the room across the hall even over the noise of the Hoover the cleaners were using. The management sorted it out quickly. However noise was an issue throughout the stay music late at night despite the nightclub being closed. Shouting in the halls. Quite a few hen and stag parties. Breakfast was ok. The room was ok. The bathroom was ridiculously small. You had to sit on the toilet at an angle as it was to close to the bath. The bed was comfy. Each morning there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The room was very warm. Ask for a room at the front of the hotel. We will not return. Collapse

First impresesion of Hotel is that it is a big concrete box of a place - entrance dreary and entire Hotel is in need of some refurbishment. Room at the back (404) horrible view over car park and fire escape. Bathroom small but clean. Room basic but adequate. Staff mostly very pleasant although we were disappointed on Thursday 19th April when we could not get a seat to have a bar meal and the girl on the restaurant desk did not greet us or even attempt to help or apologise (twice we tried) Breakfasts were ok with plenty of choice.we had one evening meal at the bar and the food there was good.
