I just return home from Prague where i stay 4 nights in hotel Beseda. Hotel Beseda have positive and negative things like all hotels. Lets start with negative. - I have book room on hotel web pages. You can also book airport transfer service on web pages. I have choose this possibiliyi (it is not free of charge) but after booking i have receive e-mail from hotel where hotel asking me to send per e-mail my credit card details for airport transfer service. I have not accept this and i cancel this service. It is crazy to send credit card details on e-mail. - I was in room 206, It is huge room but only with two ac/dc socket. One in bathroom and second on desk in room. We was 3 person in room with 3 mobile phones and digital camera and it is big problem to charging all devices. - Shower is another problem. You cant fix shower head on holder. Big problem when you take shower. - Breakfast - tables is to close. Little bit acrobatic when is breakfast room full. In 4 days only one dish is changes. Eggs is cold. Now good things - Staff - very frendly and if you need some information staff will help you. - Position - 50 m from metro station Narodni Trida. If you surfing before trip you can see that all imortant things you can see from hotel with feet or public transport. - Price - very cheap hotel if you see position and when you know that is 4 star hotel. Right will be lower 4 star hotel. - ceanliness - it is clean hotel If you looking for cheap hotel near most Prague higlights hotel is good option for you. Collapse

Booked as part of a Jet2 City Break. Great location, only a short distance away from Old Town, Wenceslas Sq, Charles Bridge & not very far from Castle, Jewish Quarter, Lesser Town. Quiet location. Room was fine. Aircon worked fine, good sized room & bathroom. Only slight problems were duvets were single on a double bed!!! and shower head could not be mounted on the wall at head height, although we did have a shower curtain. Breakfast was included and was a pretty good continental breakfast, with variation on the warm food content, and plenty of variety of other things. Internet cover was free and reliable. Staff were friendly in reception, although some in breakfast could have been more helpful when some things needed replenishing. There were plenty of staff, so not sure why it should have been a problem - perhaps needed clearer responsibilities. Did not have any problems with room reported on some reviews, so would recommend, and use again if we came back to Prague. Collapse

As in the title, it's been quite hard for me to review this hotel. So I will just list positives and negatives. We stayed 3 nights. 4 friends - 2 married couples. Starting with positives: - Fantastic location! Hello Kafka! :) - Nice staff - Good, quick check-in / check-out - ATM in the lobby - Great bar with super friendly bartender - OK breakfast (will come back to it though) - Very very spacious suite with living room and bathroom on one floor and two large double bedrooms upstairs. When we booked we expected to get a room with one double bed and one sofa bed but got something a lot nicer for which we thank you! - Clean rooms - Quick lift - Good housekeeping service though they need to knock when entering room(!) - Spacious, modern bathroom - Very good toiletries - Iron / board delivered to room when needed - Relatively good value - OK wifi Negatives: - Massive one. Two bedrooms but one had no windows and no air conditioning. This just blew my mind. So imagine 100% darkness 24/7 (with lights off of course) and no air flow. If we wanted air we had to leave the door open. The door was leading to 2nd bedroom so either air or privacy. Shocking. We only noticed lack of windows after first night though. Too much Czech beer earlier to notice :P - Breakfast - what was there was tasty. But there wasn't much choice especially in terms of fruit or cheese. Some cut up oranges and whole apples. You'd expect melons, bananas etc. If you eat fruit for breakfast you'll be disappointed. Also - coffee from the machine was super small. Espresso-sized latte? I saw people pouring multiple lattes into a cereal bowl to make it more reasonable and save from running back and forth. - Double beds are made of two single beds sliding away from each other at night and two single duvets. Not ideal for married couples as you'd might imagine. Maybe at least make sure they don't slide away? Join the legs with a piece of wire or something? - Some sheets / pillowcases had holes in them - TV was only in the living room. Would be great to have it in the bedroom(s). Especially in the dungeon-bedroom. - Very basic decor. Simple (not a bad thing) but bland (bad thing). Could be more tasteful. - Water veeeeeery slow draining from the bathtub - No way to attach the shower head to the wall in the way that you can take a standing shower. So the only way to shower was to sit in the tub. - Though if you stood in the tub you'd fall down due to weird shape of the tub not being flat at all. - Minibar was really mini. One 25cl water for a 4-people room? - Booking.com stated that there will be a welcome drink - there was no welcome drink. So all in all it's not a bad hotel. Definitely not 4 stars though. We did enjoy our stay in the end so Hotel Beseda is not the worst choice. Just make sure your room has a window ;) Collapse
