Had a great time and the staff was amazing. The rooms were spacious. If I could ask for one thing, it would be additional mirrors besides the one in the bathroom. Just because it was four women and one mirror. Other than that two thumbs up.

Upon check in the front desk service was horrible. We traveled from Louisiana to get to the front desk and be told that we can not check in because the card doesn't have a chip in it. We had to wait over 5 hours before check in. Nobody but the one person at the front desk was able to talk to us. Besides the customer service the room was very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient. Easy access to restaurants and also to the beach. The pool top was very nice and comfortable. Enjoyed the ease of not having to rent a vehicle to get around. The only dislike is that the hotel doesn't have a shuttle to pick you up from the airport which would be very convenient for tourists so you don't have to pay to get from the airport to the hotel Collapse

We booked 2 rooms for a cruise leaving out of Miami and were fortunate to get the rooms for one night booked well in advance as it was Memorial Day Weekend. The hotel is right across the street from the beach so the street was blocked off for the weekend events. Bentley kindly notified us by text where we could expect valet parking (which was $37.45 a day) at a different hotel a block or so away and we had to walk...not too far...with our luggage to the hotel. We were given rooms 202 and our son and friend in room 220 which were not ready when we arrived as we were early. The staff were exceedingly nice and stored our luggage. Several helpful suggestions directed us to lunch with another text when our room was ready. After lunch (room still not ready) the kids were provided an area to change into bathing suits to enjoy the "resort" amenities (Resort fee is $25.00 but restaurant was closed so they only charge us $15.00 since no breakfast was included). There is a small pool on the rooftop, to get the chairs and towels on the beach, you have to go to a different hotel about a block or so away on the beach side. The Land and Sea Airshow was happening so my husband and I went to the rooftop bar and pool to watch the show. The Air part anyway...too far to see the Sea Show. The free happy hour drink coupons were not valid yet so we paid $12.00 for each rum punch about solo cup size...maybe a little smaller. The bar is not one where you sit with shade provided, it is a walk up bar, get your drink and go sit in the lounge chairs or at a table. Plenty of seating though with umbrellas as it was bloody hot. We were notified again by text that our room was ready. It was clean, modestly furnished (like a cheap apartment) but comfortable. The hotel is dated, a little worn and shabby but clean with a sense of pride and definitely centered on customer satisfaction. It was a big room, living, dining with full kitchen and separate bedroom. The bed was comfy, sheets and floors were clean. The a/c was quiet although the curtains did not quite block out all the light as the room faced an alley that was lit all night. So...we had room 202. Truly had to be the noisiest location in the hotel. Loud talking and yelling in the alley all night. First it was the men...I think one in particular was a hustler as he yelled to everyone walking by to 'come here' that lasted until 4:00 AM. While he was constantly running his mouth...someone in the room or office? next to us started moving furniture and vacuuming. At 5:00 AM the women invaded the alley and started with laughing, whoops and hollers, bottles clanking, loud carts being rolled and vacuum cleaners going. At 6:45 AM Monday, the trash truck came. I swear it took them 45 minutes to pick up the trash. I slept from 7:00 AM until 8:30 AM when the hotel housekeeping team started laughing in the halls and running vacuum cleaners. My husband had had enough rum punch on the roof that he slept right through all of it. Wish I had. I asked our kids how they slept, they heard some noise but said it didn't keep them from sleeping. So, I guess room 220 is better than 202 on a busy holiday weekend. The rooms were ideal for an extended stay with family although there are hotels that are right on the beach. My favorite and only redeeming feature of the hotel (for the price we paid) was the staff. As for complaining about the noise, I did not. I doubt they could control any of what was happening in that alley anyway. Would I stay there again? Probably not... because of the location. Collapse
