I didn't know the Beaux Artes was part of the Marriott chain when I booked a reservation through a travel agency. When I arrived at the hotel all I saw was a sign for the Marriott Marquis and nothing for the Beaux Artes. The taxi had to go around the block 2 times to find it. In the lobby I was met by a charming young lady who escorted me to the reception on the 39th Floor, where I was rudely informed that I had a reservation in the Marriott Marquis and not the Beaux Artes. I showed my confirmation to Nicolas Sosa who was in charge of the front desk but then the excuses started coming. Finally, the manager, Celso Ramos, appeared. In spite of the fact that the Beaux Arte is a part of Marriott, he claimed he couldn't do anything for me. I would have to stay in the Marriott Marquis in a room, which was $332 a night, even though I prepaid a rate of $411 per night. Mr. Ramos exhibited incompetence at the highest level and in no way attempted to resolve the matter in a satisfactory manner even though I am at the highest membership rewards level for Marriott. What a beautiful room and amazing view! We stayed at Room 3901, a nice corner room with amazing view of the river, marina, with the ocean on the horizon. We also love the fact that it is on the same floor as the "front desk" - which is literally, a desk with a friendly staff always, and the "restaurant" which feels more like a large dining room with a few nice, private alcoves for lounging during happy hour or evening. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will go back to this hotel any time. Breakfast buffet at the "restaurant" was okay but not great. One more warm dish with meat - bacon or sausage, would make it feel a lot more complete. Collapse

Spent two nights here for Ultrafest and came away very pleased. Spacious room and bath. Shower pressure was amazing. Our room attendant was super nice as well. She even gave us extra water bottles and coffee pods. My only complaint is that the walls seemed pretty thin. It was very easy to hear TVs and talking in adjacent rooms. Biggest surprise was our service at the front desk (we checked in at the JW Marriott - not sure if that’s normal). Nestor was at the check in desk and assisted us with a reservation screwup that was our fault. He was able to get us a great room at the last minute even cheaper than we originally booked. He was super patient and an example of what every employee should strive to be. This property should consider themselves lucky to have someone so committed to guest satisfaction. AAAA+++++ job Nestor!!! Collapse

I am not really sure what the advantage is to staying at the Hotel Beaux Arts. Its actually the 38-41st floors at the JW Marriott Marquis hotel, and it promises to be an experience, but it's nothing special, and actually there was a lot that was not good. We previously stayed that JW Marriott Marquis and had an absolutely fabulous experience there. The Hotel Beaux Arts offers less amenities than the JW Marriott so I am not sure what the advantage is. As platinum members with Marriott/SPG, we typically have access to a concierge lounge, they told us we literally did NOT have access to the concierge lounge at the JW Marriott, even though the hotels share all other amenities. Yet, then our key did work and we were told by staff at the JW marriott that we DID have access, that's bizarre. We were given free "continental" breakfast at the L'atelier at Hotel Beaux Arts, but it was definitely not as plentiful as what they offered at the concierge lounge and then they charged us for our child, which is weird since usually kids are free. L'atelier did have fabulous cappuccino's, worth mentioning. The room was cool for sure, great views, opulent tile as far as the eye can see in the bathroom and lots of nice amenities/extras. We asked for a crib and they brought one up with a little package of amenities for our son (Johnson's soap, lotion, baby powder, diaper cream). They offer Illy coffee which is AWESOME! But, and this is a big one, this review cannot go without mentioning how DIRTY the rooms at the Hotel Beaux Arts are. We moved a table in the room and realized they did not vacuum the carpet, at all, it was so dirty there were literally crumbs on the carpet. We moved the couch cushions on the couch to see if it was a pullout sofa and the amount of crumbs (and change) we found was sickening I literally did not want to touch anything in the room after that. The table was so dusty I could have written my name in it, and you could literally see dust/dirt/scuffs/marks all over the floors in the living room. It was as if they just remade the bed and called it a day after the last guests. Super disappointing in a hotel of this caliber. Also, they boast that they offer Bang and Olufsen speakers in the rooms, which seems cool, until your neighbors are blasting it all night long. We had to call the front desk, which also is not easy to figure out as they have no instructions on how to reach the front desk or guest services from the phone. We had to complain and the noise stopped briefly and then went on after that. I could also hear people talking and moving around in one of the rooms next door, so I think the sound barriers in this hotel are just really poor. There is a LOT of construction going on around this hotel, I would recommend staying at the W instead potentially as it was in a far more walkable location and seemed much quieter. Or if you are choosing between this and the JW Marriott Marquis, just stay at the JW Marriott Marquis, there does not seem to be much of a difference. Collapse

I stayed at this hotel with my sister for 11 nights in August. (which is a lot, so we really experienced every services there) And let me explain you that pictures really represent the reality! The hotel is really sublime, contemporary, design and high-tech. The welcome, the service, everything is excellent, worthy of a big hotel. The location is top, in the business district less than 15 minutes from Miami Beach. The team was very caring, we were very well received by Valentina the manager, and all the team, Linda, Dunja, Marc and Ethan who were able to meet 100% of all our expectations. I highly recommend the hotel and the JUNIOR SUITE and would not hesitate to come back. The only downside that we also reported to management team, is the household that sometimes deserved to be better realized.. Otherwise, in any case if you are looking for a contemporary, design hotel, far from the madness of Miami Beach, go for it! Again thanks a lot to the whole team! S & R Collapse
